John Krasinski was named PEOPLE's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive on November 13, and said that he had an "immediate blackout" and "zero thoughts" after hearing the news.
"Zero thoughts. Other than maybe I'm being punked. That's not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I'll be asked to be the Sexiest Man Alive?'"
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly about her upcoming Hallmark movie, Confessions of a Christmas Letter, Angela Kinsey reacted to her Office co-star John Krasinski getting crowned as PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive, and said that she's "tickled" by the news. The two actors co-starred as coworkers Angela Martin and Jim Halpert in the workplace sitcom from 2005-2013.
"I'm so tickled by it. I found out this morning. I love John. He's such a good person and I'm so happy for all the success he's having. But I think of him like my little brother, so this is like your little brother getting Sexiest Man Alive! You're kind of like, 'What is happening?' But he's such a cutie."
Kinsey added that the two actors stay in touch and she can't wait to text him and say, 'What's up, Mr. Sexiest Man."

While speaking to PEOPLE for their cover story, John Krasinski also shared the response he got from his wife Emily Blunt after she heard the news. Krasinski said "there was a lot of joy involved" in telling his wife and that she was "very excited."
Krasinski added that Blunt said she would print the cover and use it as a wallpaper.
"Do we have that on camera? Because that's like a binding contract, I think. My children will love that, it won't be weird at all."
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt share two daughters together, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8. The two first met in 2008 which John described was love at first sight. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, John added that he was "so nervous" and thought that he's going to fall in love with her. The couple tied the knot in 2010 and and have made multiple red carpet appearances together. The family of four have also been spotten together multiple times.
The announcement was first made on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where Krasinski revealed that the first person to hear the news outside his family was Matt Damon.
