After bashing Oprah Winfrey on Truth Social, Donald Trump has zeroed in on another personality, Stephen Colbert.
Trump took to Truth Social on September 25, bashing The Late Show with Stephen Colbert host Stephen Colbert. This comes after the host said the former president would not return to the show as a guest.
In the rant, Trump referenced an interview with Stephen Colbert where he talked about highly government-subsidized PBS,
"Why would they be wasting time and public's money on this cimplete and total loser. He is not funny, which he gets paid far too much to be, he is not wise, he is VERY BORING, and his show is dying on a complete lack of viewers - Gutfeld, on cable, is killing him."
Donald Trump's rant comes after Stephen, during an appearance on PBS to talk about his and his wife Evie's cookbook, Does This Taste Funny, was asked if Trump would make another appearance on his show. To which Colbert responded saying,
"I have had him before, and he was kind of boring. So, no."
"CBS should terminate his contract" - says Donald Trump on host Stephen Colbert
In his truth social rant on September 25, Donald Trump, while bashing The Late Show with Stephen Colbert host Stephen Colbert and calling him boring, gave two recommendations to the CBS channel.
Trump suggested that CBS terminate his contract and "pick almost anyone, right off the street" who could do better and for "FAR LESS MONEY." His second suggestion involved someone "much more talented and smarter" who would host for Free.
"The good news for Stephen is that the two DOPES on NBC & ABC are not much better than him."
During Trump's appearance on the show in September 2015, Stephen Colbert apologized to the former president for the things he had said about him that were "unforgivable,"
"I also want to apologize to you, because I said a few things over the years, that are, you know in polite company perhaps are unforgivable."
When Donald Trump quipped in and said, "And some nice things," Colbert said he didn't remember saying anything nice. Stephen added that he hoped Trump would accept his apology, to which Trump responded, "Accepted." He asked if he had anybody he "would like to apologize to yourself," to which Trump said, "No, maybe the audience," amidst laughter erupted from the audience.
His latest Truth Social rant isn't the first time he has bashed an artist. On September 23, the former president took to the platform to rant against Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Dallon.
