Online streamer Adin Ross and rapper Aubrey Drake Graham hosted the much-awaited Drizzmas collab on December 26, 2024. The collaboration celebrated the holiday season and included several light-hearted moments between the entertainers.

Although the entire live stream was hosted on Twitch, clips from the event went viral on social media platforms and YouTube. A segment of the livestream included reading fan letters. While the rapper was reading one of those, he almost used a cuss word against Kendrick Lamar. Drake read:

“In the beautiful land down under, it would be an unforgettable honeymoon filled with laughter, fun and of course the Drake charisma and it’s always f*ck Ken… Oh! I am not reading that.”

The rapper's reaction while reading the letter has caught the attention of social media users as one Instagram user wrote:

“He caught PTSD when he almost said his name.”

Social media users claimed the rapper waited to say that but mentioned that he was also scared to say Kendrick Lamar’s name aloud.

“He’s been waiting to say that again.”
“That n*gga scared to say his name.... smh.”
“lol all this fake hate is funny the man music still doing numbers like normal.”

Instagram users criticized the rapper for appearing on the livestream with Adin Ross, while others hinted that there could be repercussions for what he said while reading the letter.

“What a coincidence both letters have Kendrick & Ross giving very much 1st grader writing notes about each other.”
“Getting on stream with an uneducated Trump supporter that bites off Black people, let me pretend to act shocked.”
“now drake we don’t wanna hear NOTHING when shots get fried back.”

Drake’s ‘Drizzmas’ collab included several exciting giveaways

The collab livestream was more than a celebration as it included several giveaways. These giveaways had $100K for an artist, a couple’s vacation package, an Australia trip to witness the rapper’s live performance, three cars, $250K for two persons, a Lamborghini or a G-Wagon, and a full year’s rent.

To get a chance to grab the giveaways, participants had to write which giveaway they needed the most and why. In one of the clips from the live stream shared on the Adin Live YouTube channel, Drake said the stream was not about them but to give something back to society. He mentioned:

“I have seen so many stories and obviously you know we slim the stories down to the stories that were extremely touching, extremely meaningful that we felt you know, had the authenticity to them and now tonight you know, we are going to randomly pick out of a collection of those stories and see who it is.”

Drake previously shared an Instagram video explaining his motivation behind this noble act. In it, he reflected on being frequently asked about the best day of his life.

While he had countless cherished memories with family, album releases, performances, and fans showing love for his work, his answer remains consistent: the two days spent filming God’s Plan were the most meaningful. He described the joy of bringing happiness to others and positively impacting their lives as an irreplaceable and unforgettable experience.
