The James Bond franchise has been a point of discussion for the last couple of weeks. Leave the oddly-placed tribute performance aside, the franchise has faced a massive creative change. The Broccoli family, who was in charge of this intellectual property for many decades decided to hand over the creative reigns to Amazon.

It led to a range of reactions and speculations about the future of the franchise. There were some concerns about the direction it would take in the wake of this handover. It does not feel surprising considering the amount of creative contribution from the family. Regardless, the fact remains that the 007 agent-led series is in new hands.

Some sources suggest that Amazon has already started working on its next course of action. One of the key steps is bound to be related to finding the producers. According to a recent report from Puck, David Heyman and Amy Pascal are being considered to produce and develop the upcoming iterations of the franchise. Both producers have previously worked on big-scale projects.

Heyman has been instrumental in bringing the Harry Potter movie series to life. The Daniel Radcliffe-led fantasy films still attract massive fanfare, which might have been why Heyman is being considered for this role. He will reportedly be joined by Pascal, who has been a key producer behind the Spider-Man movies, starring Tom Holland. So, their combined acumen may just be what Amazon is looking for in their James Bond films.

James Bond last appeared on screen in 2021 through No Time to Die, marking Daniel Craig's last project in this role. It's been nearly four years that no Bond film has come out. Much like any other devoted fanbase, the 007 agent's fans must be waiting for his return to screen. They might just be in luck considering the recent reports from The Sun on this subject.

Some insider sources told The Sun that Amazon is gearing up for another chapter in this cinematic universe.

"The Bond bosses had already proposed broad plots and reboot ideas"

They further added,

“The writers’ rooms are being assembled in the hope of recouping their investment ASAP.”

As aforementioned, Puck signals David Heyman and Amy Pascal heralding the upcoming James Bond films. However, the deal is reportedly yet to go through and no details have been confirmed.

There's also a matter of casting a new actor. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, and Stuart Martin were reportedly being considered for this position. However, only time can tell who will bag the role.
