Harris Dickinson is becoming a buzz of the Hollywood town after his performance in Babygirl. Now he is being eyed to play Cyclops in the upcoming X-Men movie, if what Jeffrey Sneider, one reliable industry insider, said recently, while appearing in a conversation with John Rocha is true.

The mutant team is now looking forward to entering the new playground as it's now under the watchful eye of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rumors are that the studio is already recasting them, which may present characters like Gambit being portrayed by new faces, and actors like Channing Tatum could kiss it goodbye.

That X-Men rumor should be taken with a grain of salt

Though Jeff appeared confident while revealing this, he mentioned that this should be taken with a grain of salt. Then, moving forward, he told Rochan that,

"The rumor is that Dickinson may very well be being looked at for Cyclops."

In the character's recent iteration in the animated series X-Men '97, Ray Chase filled the shoes. The character was given life by Norman Spencer when he used to voice him in X-Men: The Animated Series that ran from 1992 to 1997. However, Spencer took his last breath in 2020, and now Chase is taking charge of the team.

Cyclops is usually shown as a stoic character rather than a cool guy like Quicksilver or someone with an 'I don't give a damn' attitude like Wolverine. It has changed slightly with the latest animated series, and the laser-throwing human now knows how to be a fun leader.

If we go by the previous version of a stoic attitude, Henry Cavill could also be a good choice, given his departure from DC as the Man of Steel. His attitude fits the best. Which is to say, he is one great fit for Wolverine, too, as we recently saw him appearing as the legendary Cavillrine; rumors were true.

But if we watch his latest appearance, Glenn Powell could play the role better. His portrayal of Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick makes this evident; just cut the arrogance pipeline of the character and he will be one great laser-throwing mutant.

However, Marvel might be looking for young blood, Harris Dickinson appears to be among a few young actors who are becoming fan favorites. Other than his recent role opposite the fantastic Nicole Kidman, Harris is known for his roles in Beach Rats (2017), Triangle of Sadness (2022), The Iron Claw (2023), and more.
