Hailey Bieber, a Model, entrepreneur, and wife of pop star Justin Bieber, has once again opened up about her personal health issues. The 28-year-old took to Instagram Stories on April 21, 2025, to reveal that she is currently struggling with two ovarian cysts.
This newest revelation joins a growing catalogue of health issues she has suffered in recent years, including a mini-stroke and a heart defect. Hailey Bieber captioned her Instagram story:
"Currently have 2 ovarian cysts, If you deal with ovarian cysts, I'm right there with ya!"
The message was accompanied by a picture of her lying on a couch, resting. Ovarian cysts are sac-like pouches full of liquid that form on or in an ovary.
Hailey Bieber has opened up in the past about dealing with cysts. In 2022, she shared that she had developed a cyst “the size of an apple,” explaining that while she didn’t have endometriosis or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), she had had cysts several times.
The latest update comes just eight months after Hailey and her husband Justin Bieber welcomed their son Jack Blue Bieber. The couple has been transparent about their health battles over the years.
More about Justin and Hailey Bieber’s other health struggles
Hailey’s health struggles were made public in March 2022 when she experienced a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), often called a mini stroke. She later clarified that the incident stemmed from a small blood clot that made its way to her brain.
It was later discovered that Hailey Bieber had a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), a small hole in the heart that failed to heal naturally after birth.
Hailey went on to have a procedure that closed the hole in her heart following the TIA. In retrospect, she said it was a “really scary situation,” and she has since used her voice to spread awareness.
"I feel great. The biggest thing I feel, honestly, is I just feel really relieved that we were able to figure everything out, that we were able to get it closed," she wrote in an instagram post.
On the other hand, Justin Bieber has also grappled with some serious health challenges. In 2022, he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes partial facial paralysis. He has talked openly about his past struggles with drug use and his battle with Lyme disease.
