GTA 6 may arrive on PC in early 2026, says Corsair executive: Everything we know so far

Rumors are swirling that the GTA 6 game will be available on Personal Computers in 2026. Ronald van Veen, Vice President, Finance & IR. for PC hardware company Corsair Gaming, seemed to infer at the company’s earnings call for Q4 2024 that the upcoming video game developed by Rockstar Games would launch on PC ports in the coming year.

According to a transcript of the company’s earnings call published by Seeking Alpha on February 12, 2025, van Veen said:

"GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we'll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it's going to come out in the fall for console and then early '26 for PC."

Note that there is no official confirmation on when GTA 6 will launch on PCs.

The creators of the Grand Theft Auto games, in a press release on December 2023, teased the 2025 launch of the highly-anticipated game on gaming consoles. The founder of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser stated:

"Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”

While the game creators have not given a specific date for the release of the upcoming GTA, multiple gaming news sites have narrowed the release date window to Fall 2025. IGN reported on February 7, 2025, that the CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, Straus Zelnick, was sure of a Fall 2025 release. Zelnick replied to a question on the possibility of the GTA 6 releasing in Fall 2025:

"Look, there's always a risk of slippage, and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things. So we feel really good about it."

He also added that the company is excited about the launch:

"Look, I think the game is eagerly anticipated both internally and externally. We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited."

According to the December 2023 trailer released by Rockstar Games, the upcoming GTA installment is set in the fictional Vice City in the State of Leonida. The clips depict Lucia, the game’s first female lead since 2000, and her supposed love interest as fugitives of the law.
