"Grab anything you want to keep" — Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag reveal what they packed during LA fires

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, in an exclusive interview with People Magazine, recalled their experience with the destructive Palisades Fire that raged from January 7 to January 31, 2025, and burned their house down. The fires not only cost many people their homes but also precious memories.

According to People Magazine, citing Heidi Montag, the singer, while evacuating, was not thinking logically and grabbed whatever she could. She was just "running around and wasting time' staring at random things and was overwhelmed."

Before leaving, her husband, Spencer Pratt, told her to

"Grab anything you want to keep."

So, according to the interview, in the end, she had with her a pair of jeans, shoes, and some stuff for their children, Gunner (7) and Ryker (2), like their clothes and bears. Based on an Instagram video shared by Spencer Pratt, he was also able to grab some stuff. According to a lifestyle article, Spencer had previously said on TikTok that he was able to save one of his Taylor Swift merchandise.

"The logical thinking isn't there... So I was looking at my closet quickly like, 'What can I grab? (...)I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, what am I doing?' You're like, 'Am I coming back? Am I not?' I thought I was coming back, so I grabbed a pair of shoes at the end(...)I have no photos, I have no memorabilia. Just stuff for the kids. Everything's gone..."- Heidi Montag via People Magazine.

The Palisades fire that began on January 7 at the Santa Monica Mountains spread into areas like the Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu before it was finally contained on January 31, 2025.
