Snoop Dog seemingly responded to backlash from netizens for performing at the Crypto Ball on Friday, January 17, 2025. The event was hosted by Donald Trump’s affiliate, David Sacks, marking his return to the White House at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

His performance has sparked debate among his followers for supporting Trump as Dogg is known as a huge critic of Trump. His opposing views for Trump have been noted particularly during Trump’s 2016 inauguration, which marked the beginning of his presidency.

The Who Am I rapper shared an Instagram story from fellow performer Rick Ross, adding his commentary: "Got a real Crip up in the Crypto Ball, bang bang," which suggested he was unbothered by the negative reactions. He flashed a peace sign and smiled for the camera.

Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, and Nelly were also the performers alongside Snoop Dogg who faced backlash on social media.

Snoop Dogg's latest stance on Trump has come as a huge disappointment for his fans. They have deemed him hypocritical for supporting Trump by performing at the Crypto Ball.

Snoop Dogg’s latest performance at Donald Trump’s Crypto Ball has not gone down well among his followers. They took to the comments section of his 2016 video, shared by The Shade Room, and have called him out for being a hypocrite. They mentioned that he likes to play both sides.

While a few others wrote:

Despite the uproar, Snoop Dogg was praised for his performance at the Crypto Ball event. Influencer, Bo Loudon, shared a photo of the rapper, while he wore the MAGA hat and wrote in the tweet:

"Welcome to MAGA, Snoop!"

Drop It Like It's Hot, Don't Stop Believin, and Three Little Birds were some of the tracks performed by the rapper at the event.


The tickets at the black-tie event were sold at a price between $2,500 and $5,000, indicated a report in The Independent.
