Sabrina Carpenter has collaborated with Dolly Parton on a remix of her hit song "Please Please Please". The remix strays from its original sound, leaning more toward traditional country, and features both singers in a black-and-white video.

The deluxe edition, released on February 14, also contains some bonus tracks like "Busy Woman", "Bad Reviews", "Couldn't Make it Any Harder", and '15 Minutes."

The announcement of the collaboration was made just two days after the singer attended and won her first Grammy.

"As a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’),” she wrote, “short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre order.. and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton….she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy sh*t!!!!!” the singer wrote.

The announcement took fans by surprise, as they awaited the music release. Carpenter also took to Instagram to express how honored she felt to collaborate with someone she has admired for so long time.

"Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!! I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me. Short n Sweet deluxe is out now! Go watch and listen!!! Love you forever @dollyparton"

Fans react to Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton's new music video for "Please, Please, Please"

The unexpected collaboration had fans on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting since the early hours of February 14 for a glimpse of the music video featuring two of their favorite artists.

Now, shortly after the song was released on Valentine's Day it went viral. In a tweet by @popcrave, who tweeted:

"Sabrina Carpenter & Dolly Parton have released the music video for the “Please Please Please” remix."

There has been an overwhelming outpour of love and support shown by a section of fans, with one saying that the video was adorable, declaring that both artists looked their very best in the music video.

"We will ALL be watching these two gorgeous queens!" wrote one user.
A fan chimned in and said "She is so gorgeous."
"Two Queens Queening" claimed another user.
"This girl is everywhere. But I forgive her. She’s beautiful." claimed another fan.

Another user praised the old-school retro vibe of the music video.

"This music video looks so cute! The retro vibe is giving me all the feels, and I love the playful energy between them!"

Another user gave the song the highest rating,

"It’s a 10/10!!" she tweeted.

But another section of fans has criticized the editing of the song, claiming it sounds completely different than the original.

"This lowkey sounds like two different songs lmaooo" critisized one user.

While another person said:

"Oh sabrina baby i know u love dolly but how did this make the final cut” commented the user.

The "Expresso" singer, who was nominated in six categories, took home the awards for "Best Pop Solo Performance" and "Best Pop Vocal Album". Later that night, she performed a mashup of her biggest hits "Expresso" and "Please Please Please" channeling the old-school Hollywood charm.
