Gizelle Bryant's kids are on her side when it comes to her legal battle with Eminem.
The 54-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac star sat down for an interview with People Magazine at the Love Hotel Premiere Screening in Bel-Air, Sunday, April 27, where she shared that you will never catch her or her kids grooving to Slim Shady.
“Oh my God, no. And it's funny, because if it comes on the radio, in the car, my kids would be like, ‘That's Eminem. Turn it,’ ” Bryant told the outlet. “My kids are on top of it. They know. No, no Eminem for us.”
Bryant has three daughters: 20-year-old Grace and 19-year-old twins Angel and Adore.
Everything we know about Eminem's case against Gizelle Bryant, as the latter calls it "foolishness" and wishes for it to be over: Read more
Gizelle Bryant's feud with the 15-time Grammy winner dates back to December 2023. At the time, the latter's manager filed a lawsuit against them, citing trademark infringement. He took issue with the name of Bryant and her former RHOP cast member, Robyn Dixon's, podcast, Reasonably Shady, and the merch they released alongside it.
According to its official page, the podcast is described as a “show [that] features conversations about being fearless women as they recount stories from their exciting lives. Topics include dating, relationships, marriage, entrepreneurs, motherhood, style, glam, current events, and more.”
For the unversed, the veteran rapper, who is legally known as Marshall Mathers III, dropped The Slim Shady LP in 1999, and has since adopted the nickname as his alter ego. He acquired the trademark for the word "shady" in 1998, which means that all use of the word would have to be approved by him and obtain his stamp of approval beforehand.
“I find it to be foolishness. I want it to be over, for sure,” Gizelle Bryant told People Magazine of the ongoing legal proceedings.
Nonetheless, the mother of three is confident because her show is still doing just fine:
“Reasonably Shady, it's still up and running,” she says of the podcast, adding, “And we're like 10 million downloads strong in our fifth season.” She added, “The Eminem lawsuit is still going. We're at the tail end, but you have to understand, it's like a Patent and Trade issue, and they have their own timeline for when it's over. So we're on their timeline.”
Gizelle Bryant also told the outlet that the "next step is for him to be deposed," adding, "we'll see what happens from there.”
