A Bridgerton Ball in Detroit left many feeling downtrodden after the whole event turned out to be a "royal disaster," as some put it. Hundreds of fans paid anywhere between $150 and $1000 for tickets, expecting to venture into the world of the hit Netflix series. Instead, they found themselves amid next to no decorations, no seating arrangements, and Kit Kat for snacks.

Furthermore, an exotic dancer was hired to act as the entertainment for the Bridgerton Ball. The organizers, who had nothing to do with the streaming service company, initially enticed those interested by claiming to offer them a chance to “step into the enchanting world of the Regency-era … for an evening of sophistication, grace, and historical charm.”

Bridgerton Ball had raw food, one violin player, and a photographer with an iPhone

Fans clad in regency-themed ball gowns flooded to the Bridgerton Ball, only to find a disorganized mess. Several took to the Internet to express their grievances, such as one ticket-holder, Rachel Eaton. While she did not get to go to the event herself, she noted that she was "scammed" either way, as the event robbed her of $300 and would not refund it.

She said in a string of posts on X, to never go to "an event that’s being run by Uncle & Me LLC. Disorganized, dishonest, and will take your money guilt free." She continued, noting how the Bridgerton Ball was pushed back and did not respond to her queries.

"The event was originally planned for August. It was cancelled and rescheduled for September 22nd, and I ended up getting sick and couldn’t go. They did not provide refunds, nor did they respond to anyone’s email asking for one. At that point I knew I got scammed lol. The company lied saying the original venue wouldn’t accommodate their guests."

She referenced some pictures from Channel 7 News, pointing out that people had to wait outside, in the rain, only to rush into an "overcrowded first floor." She continued, claiming that no one was served decent food at the Bridgerton Ball, and some of it was even raw.

"Well into the event, there was nothing to do. People were bored and just sat on their phones. The “live music” advertised was this poor lone violin player. Backdrops and decor on party city/dollar general level. They didn’t even pay the photographer and the pictures were a hassle to get if you didn’t have airdrop. Food apparently ran out after an hour, and some was raw. No one was there to pick up plates, so you had to deal with strangers’ leftovers yourself. The “dancing” they had was ONE. STRIPPER."

She then revealed that the organizers initially promised a cash award for the best dressed of the night at the Bridgerton Ball.

"Besides the lackluster event itself, they promised a cash prize to the best dressed (didn’t happen), that they’d choose a diamond of the season like they do in the show/other bridgerton inspired balls (didn’t happen), and had an itinerary with contradicting information. Really hope this ends in a lawsuit because I want my $300 back. I have medical bills to pay and that could’ve gone toward something that wasn’t….this LMAO Before y’all call me gullible, I know I am. Still not my fault! Don’t scam people!"

According to Pedro Soto, who attended the event with his new bride, she was "really excited." She went shopping for the occasion, all for it to end up being something they "didn't expect." He told Wxyz News,

"The ticket included food, a bar, at least a table and chair for us to sit down and enjoy. It included an orchestra. What we really got was, it’s going to sound funny, Kool-Aid from a bottle, no bar. There was not enough seats and chairs for us. We had to reuse cups, not enough plates. The backdrops were just paper. It was nothing special. The photographs were actually extra."

The same company, Uncle & Me LLC, also duped fans back in June under the same ruse. They promised fans an evening of merriment in a Bridgerton-themed tea party, only to leave many feeling dismayed. Many are now calling for the company to be penalized for their recurring actions.
