Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic was a star-studded event, bringing together celebrities like Amber Rose, Metro Boomin, Tyla, and more.
The event, held on Thursday night at Daikin Park, was a collaboration between the Cactus Jack Foundation and Project H.E.A.L, and it featured a blend of sports, music, and Black culture. The six-inning event was held for a charitable cause and was the third of its kind to be hosted by the rapper, a Houston native, to give back to his community.

The event was co-sponsored by the Houston Housing Authority and the Astros Foundation, and all proceeds raised will go toward the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, which equips the seniors at historically Black colleges and universities with funds for their tuition.
The 2025 Cactus Jack HBCU Classic also featured giveaways, autographed memorabilia, exclusive merchandise from the rapper himself, and more. Guests got to explore the Second Annual Cactus Jack Social Impact Village, which was an interactive village that boasted over 20 organizations from the community.
Travis Scott and his foundation will also be partnering with the Fashion Scholarship Fund to launch the Cactus Jack Design Ethos 101 Program. Via this initiative, several students will be granted $10,000 each, as well as mentorship. The recipients will also be allowed to engage in an immersive experience at the Cactus Jack Design Center, which is also located in Houston.
Per WWD, Scott said,
“By dismantling barriers, igniting imaginations and unlocking the potential of aspiring creatives, the Cactus Jack Design Ethos program offers more than just an education — it extends an invitation to dream, create and leave an indelible mark on the world, I’m excited that the FSF’s aspiring talent are able to take this unique journey through the realms of fashion, design and music.”
The FSF states that Scott's program “aims to immerse students in the world that shaped Travis Scott’s artistic and innovative journey and the groundbreaking Cactus Jack brand.”
“The FSF’s mission is to provide our community of young talent with an array of mentors, career development and educational opportunities,” said Peter Arnold, executive director of the Fashion Scholarship Fund, per WWD. “We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Cactus Jack Foundation, and to offer our network of alumni, current scholars and scholar applicants access to its incredible creative and design resources.”
Travis Scott first joined forces with FSF last year, bequeathing three recipients from the fund’s class of 2024 with $10,000. From the class of 2025, three more students were given the same honor, per WWD.
