The wait is over, as Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye has dropped his long-awaited album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.

For those unaware, Hurry Up Tomorrow is Tesfaye’s sixth studio album that follows Dawn FM (2022) and his work on The Idol. The Weeknd dropped the album on January 31, 2025, across the globe, while his West Coast fans got to listen to it at 09:00 pm (PT) on the 30th due to their time zone.

The Weeknd has been promoting Hurry Up Tomorrow for quite some time now. He also dropped two singles from the album “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti and “São Paulo” ft. Anitta in Fall 2024. However, Playboi Carti and Anitta aren’t the only artists to have guest vocals in Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Hurry Up Tomorrow has 22 tracks, with seven of them having guest features. From artists like Lana Del Rey and Travis Scott to Justice and Florence + The Machine, Tesfaye’s sixth album features the following collaborations:

Apart from dropping his album, Tesfaye also made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The “Blinding Lights” singer’s performance featured the TV debut of his song “Open Hearts.” The Canadian artist is reportedly dropping his persona after Hurry Up Tomorrow, which he also teased through the lyrics of an eponymous song of his album. He sang,

“I'm done with the lies, I'm done with the loss.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow is also the last chapter of his After Hours trilogy that began with Tesfaye’s fourth studio album. His latest release is also supported by an upcoming psychological thriller, which is also titled Hurry Up Tomorrow. Based on the album, the movie will be released in May 2025 and will star Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.
