A massive wildfire coupled with extreme winds has made its way to a Los Angeles hillside, Pacific Palisades, home to popular Hollywood celebrities.

On the morning of January 7, at least 30,000 people were ordered to evacuate the Pacific Palisades area in Los Angeles as the blaze spread from just 20 acres to more than 3,000.

The neighborhood is known to house many affluent celebrities, including Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Steve Guttenberg, and Michael Keaton. On January 7, Canadian comedian Eugene Levy told the Los Angeles Times that he got trapped in traffic with other residents trying to flee the neighborhood.

"The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn't see any flames but the smoke was very black."

James Woods also took to X to share a video of the blaze approaching his property while announcing that he was fleeing the estate. James Woods, in his tweet, shared that he didn't know if his home was affected and thanked people for reaching out to him.

"To all the wonderful people who've reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not."

More celebrities evacuate Pacific Palisades amidst wildfire

Los Angeles' affluent neighborhood, Pacific Palisades, which is home to Hollywood A-listers, is being burnt as a wildfire with strong winds takes control of the area. Other than Eugene Levy and James Woods, who were able to evacuate the neighborhood, other celebrities, including Steve Guttenberg and The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montague, have also escaped the fire.

Guttenberg urged residents who have abandoned their vehicles to leave their car keys, while speaking to KTLA5, Guttenberg said,

"This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars...There are people stuck up there. So we're trying to clear Palisades Drive and I'm walking up there as far as I can moving cars. There are families up there, there are pets up there. There are people who really need help."

He asked people to not worry about their personal property and to just get their loved ones and get out of Pacific Palisades.

As per TMZ, Pratt and Montague also evacuated as their home became engulfed in the wildfire. On January 7, Pratt posted a video on his Instagram story before evacuating that featured an aerial firefighter vehicle flying ahead, dumping water on the nearby mountains to contain the blaze.
