Cam'ron and Jim Jones' long-standing feud continues and gets worse after Jones disclosed that his label requested that he delay his diss track, JOMO. The track targets his ex-rap member Cam’ron and highlights all of the conflicts between the two artists from Harlem.

Both rappers hail from Harlem and belong to the famous rap group, Diplomats(Dipset). They were considered to be inseparable during the early 2000s. However, when personal problems surfaced, their relationship started deteriorating. Despite multiple attempts to reconcile, their relationship worsened due to public arguments over loyalty, money, and allegedly betrayal.

Back in the mid-2000s, Cam'ron made fun of Jones by making a t-shirt that insulted him and called into doubt his commitment to their friends who were locked up. This was the first big crack in their relationship. From there onwards things went south when Jones acknowledged publicly that the two were no longer on speaking terms.

Cam'ron and Jim Jones's old feud reignited

In late 2024, on the show It's What It Is, Cam'ron reportedly mocked Jim Jones which reignited the feud between the two again. He questioned Jones's Harlem origins and recalled instances in which Jones supposedly ran away from confrontations, accusing him of lacking sincerity. Cam'ron stated:

“I didn’t really grow up with Jim. We got cool right when the music was popping off,”

Cam'ron made scathing comments about Jim Jones, critiquing his street cred and accusing him of lacking sincerity. Cam also said,

“You’re a Guardian Angel in designer, n-gga. You are from the Bronx, bro. You are not from Harlem,”

Cam'ron also mentioned that Jones had begged to be his friend back in the day.

Even in the mid-2000s, 50 Cent mocked Cam'ron during a feud and brought Jones and Julez Santana on stage, which optimized their division. Cam'ron admitted that this was a 'checkmate' move that deteriorated their relationship.

Jones replied by recording the diss track, JOMO, which talks about all the conflicts between the two. In a recent interview, he revealed that the delay was the label's wish to make sure the song was flawless before it was released to the public. He stated:

"They wanted to make sure everything was perfect."

While the delay by the label has caused a delay in Jones' response, the diss track is highly anticipated by fans. In a provocative move, Jim Jones performed the song in front of a mural depicting Cam'ron's late cousin, Bloodshed, intensifying the feud and fueling anticipation for the diss track.

As the feud continues, fans are closely watching each move made by the rappers against each other.
