Marvel's First Family is back with another glimpse at their heroic lives as The Fantastic Four: First Steps has released a brand new trailer, raising the curtains on a fresh character. The new sneak peek gives fans a glimpse into Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, who warns the four of Galactus' intentions.
As for why she was able to travel to Earth, fans have theorised that Surfer's appearance might be a reason for Richards's work towards pushing the boundaries of space. We also get a better look at a more gigantic version of Galactus, who is spreading his wrath this time, as opposed to his less-than-satisfied physical appearance in the last trailer.
Fans are happy with Surfer's visuals, which many have pointed out are pretty accurate to the comics. Additionally, the new trailer also features a pregnant Sue Storm and visuals of Mr Fantastic exercising his elastic powers.
The newest version of the heroic four is being brought to fans by Eric Pearson, while it features a stunning ensemble of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. They are joined by Ralph Ineson as Galactus, along with Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne.
What Julia Garner has said about her character in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Garner's arrival at the MCU has garnered significant buzz among fans who are super excited to see the actress take on the iconic silver look.
In January, the actress opened up about her role and told Entertainment Weekly,
"I can't really speak a lot about that project. All I can just say is that I'm very lucky to have a part in that project, and the Fantastic Four are fantastic. They are so amazing in this. I'm very excited for people to see them. I'm assuming that this Silver Surfer is gonna be really shiny like in the other previous ones and the comic books. So, yeah, that's all I'm gonna say."
The film will solely focus on the Fantastic Four and will not feature any other members from the MCU, as creator Matt Shakman has previously opened up on how the film is set in retro-futuristic 1960s Manhattan, where no other superheroes are around yet. He also emphasised not wanting to give the heroes an origin story and trying to work on something more original. Talking about what the movie is about, Shakman has said,
"Our movie is set in the '60s, kind of a retro-future '60s, and it's a lot about the space race and about voyaging out there. So First Steps is partly to do with that idea about exploration."
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to release on July 25, 2025
