A 9-year-old boy has burns across 90% of his body after he was severely injured as a result of the Philadelphia plane crash.
The boy was riding in a car with his father along Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman, which got engulfed in flames after Learjet 55 owned by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance crashed in Northeast Philadelphia on January 31 at 6:30 pm local time.
In an interview published on February 4, the boy's grandmother, Virgen Vera, told CBS News Philadelphia that her grandson Ramesses sustained burns on 90% of his body. Ramesses' father has died as a result of the crash, as per Viera.
Viera prayed for her grandson to pull through the incident while showing a smiling photo of him to the outlet, saying,
"He's a happy kid, really happy. I trust in God. Trust in God."
Vera noted that she checked her phone frequently after hearing news of the crash and added,
"A couple minutes later, I see the internet vide of somebody coming out from the fire. In an instant when I see him, I say, that's him. One hour later my daughter called and she is at the hospital with the kid. I say, 'What happened?' and she told me the baby is burning from the accident."
Vera shared a photo of Ramesses covered in bandages from head to toe and asked for prayers,
