Former basketball player Iman Shumpert and model Amber Rose sparked dating speculations after being seen together in Miami in September 2024 relaxing and enjoying time by the water. However, the NBA champion has set the record straight about the rumors regarding his love life.
As per a TMZ exclusive from September 7, 2024, Shumpert said Amber Rose was simply a friend, despite their recent beach outing together. Other sources also added that the Miami vacation was just a platonic meet-up.

Shumpert mentioned that they participated in College Hill: Celebrity Edition together in 2023. When asked for clarification and emphasized that there was nothing "romantic" happening, Shumpert said,
“Nah, that's my peoples.”
Based on what the NBA champion said, it is clear that he is not dating Amber Rose. Shumpert and Amber Rose participated in the second season of BET’s College Hill alongside Joseline Hernandez, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Ray J, and others.
The show premiered a month before Shumpert and his ex-wife Teyana Taylor finalized their divorce. News of the divorce became public in September 2023, after the Taylor confirmed their separation, citing reasons including alleged emotional and mental abuse, and infidelity.
In legal documents, Taylor claimed that her rising fame upset Shumpert, leading her to intentionally downplay her success in maintaining a harmonious and peaceful marriage.
She also stated that she declined numerous acting roles and other opportunities because he didn’t want her to work, yet he later expressed dissatisfaction when she ceased working after giving birth.
Shumpert was legally obliged to make a one-time payment in the seven-figure range, along with residences in South Georgia and Decatur to Taylor. Furthermore, he was required to pay $8,000 monthly in child support and cover private school tuition for their two daughters.

Following that, she dated Machine Gun Kelly and another NBA player, Terrence Ross. In 2018, she began a relationship with Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, with whom she shares a son, but the couple split in 2021.
During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight in 2023, Amber Rose discussed the importance of raising respectful children. She said:
“I think the new generation, we have to have these conversations with our boys you know to still be just sweethearts and respectful and understanding and that’s what I give to my boys. I teach them everything.”
Regarding co-parenting, she mentioned that she didn't find it challenging herself. She believes the public often complicates the situation, which can weigh heavily on someone. When co-parenting, the focus should be entirely on the child, making it straightforward since there’s nothing else to discuss.
