Kim Porter, the late model, reality television star, and Diddy's ex, allegedly authored a memoir before her untimely demise in 2018. However, her family has come forward to deny these claims. Her children, Quincy, 33, Christian, 26, and twins Jessie and D'Lila, 17, whom she shares with Sean "Diddy" Combs, took to Instagram to issue a statement regarding the same.

The children dubbed these claims "totally false," noting that their mother never penned any such book, and anyone spreading such information was lying. They added that anyone spewing such information is not their mom's "friend," and does not have "her best interests at heart."

The Daily Mail first broke the news of the book, titled KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side.

Kim Porter's children claim there was "no foul play" involved in their mother's demise

On September 25, Kim Porter's eldest son from her previous marriage, Quincy, issued a joint statement on behalf of all of his siblings. He noted:

"We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out."

They continued, noting that all such claims were "untrue."

"Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue,” they wrote in their statement. “She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”

They then reflected on finding out the news that their mother had passed, penning in the statement:

"Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother," the siblings wrote of Porter, who died of lobar pneumonia in 2018. "She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”

The siblings also shared their grievances due to the whole debacle, noting that the most horrific event of their lives has now become a public spectacle.

"We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories. We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”

Combs' attorney Erica Wolf claims the book is "a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy"

KIM'S LOST WORDS: A journey for justice, from the other side made its way to Amazon on September 6, right around the time Combs was arrested for s*xual misconduct. The book even dominated the platform's Literature & Fiction list. It allegedly delves into the couple's rocky relationship, and details the abuse Porter endured at the hands of her then-partner.

It also looks into Diddy's philandering and his explicit adventures with other high-profilers in the industry. The book states Kim Porter and Jamal T. Millwood as co-authors. However, Chris Todd wrote the book under the pseudonym, citing safety reasons, The Daily Mail reported.

According to Combs' attorney Erica Wolf, the memoir is "fake," "offensive" and "a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy," People reported.

"Chris Todd has no respect for Ms. Porter or her family, who deserve better," Wolf tells PEOPLE. "Unlike the fabrications in his sickening 'memoir,' it is an established fact that Ms. Porter died of natural causes. May she rest in peace.”

According to another source who spoke to People, the family is looking into their legal options to hinder the book's circulation.

"Kim Porter never authored a manuscript, and any claims suggesting otherwise are entirely false and fabricated," another sources close to the family adds. "The baseless pages in the book not only misrepresent Ms. Porter’s lived experience and legacy, but also continue to cause unnecessary distress to her loved ones. Kim Porter has four children, two of whom are still minors, and all of whom no longer have access to their father while he is detained awaiting trial. Chris Todd, who is credited as the publisher, has no connection to Kim Porter or her family."

Combs and Porter dated from 1994 to 2007, but were on and off. They share a son Christian Combs and twin daughters Jessie and D'lila Combs, and Diddy was also involved in the upbringing of her son, Quincy Jones, from her marriage to the R&B singer Al B.Sure.

Porter passed away at her home in Toluca Lake, California, in 2018. The cause of death was ruled as lobar pneumonia.
