Actresses Kathryn Hahn and Ana Gasteyer seem to bear a strong resemblance, which has led to some confusion among their fans. On September 30, 2024, Hahn appeared on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast where she revealed how she was always mistaken for the Saturday Night Live alum.

Ana Gasteyer was a cast member in Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2002. Hahn said,

“Everyone asked me if I was in SNL.”

The same happened with Gasteyer too as she would send Hahn pictures of Starbucks cups that had ‘I love Bad Moms' written over. Bad Moms is a 2016 movie in which Kathryn Hahn played the role of Carla.

Gasteyer once posted a photo with her coffee on Instagram, captioning it, “Someone let Kathryn Hahn know I have her cappuccino.”

However, Kathryn Hahn was flattered about the confusion. According to People Magazine, Gasteyer recounted meeting saxophonist and composer Kenny G's backstage game show.

He approached her and said he recognized her from Bad Moms. However, she did not have the heart to correct him about not being Kathryn Hahn, so she thanked him and expressed how enjoyable it was to work with him.

Remarking on her and Hahn’s similar appearances, Gasteyer suggested that they might connect on Ancestry.com. She mentioned that she received compliments about Hahn daily, just as Hahn received about her. Both attended Northwestern University.

Kathryn Hahn played Agatha Harkness in Agatha All Along

While talking about the new miniseries with The New York Post, Hahn who played Agatha Harkness mentioned that she anticipated it would be an exciting new adventure, noting that it felt more profound than just magic, witches, and fun music.

She highlighted that the story also explored a deeper theme of searching for one’s power. The actress said,

“I never would have thought in a million years this would have been around the corner for me.”

Kathryn Hahn noted that entering the middle age of life opened up new and diverse opportunities, allowing her to feel more comfortable incorporating her true self into her performances.

She reflected on her acting school days, where she believed acting was about transforming into different characters through wigs and costumes.

However, she experienced a shift where she was encouraged to bring her own experiences to her roles, leading to greater fulfillment as a performer. Hahn mentioned that letting go of artificiality allowed for a more authentic portrayal by capturing the complexity of characters.

She mentioned that she tended to favor a more masculine style, expressing her love for suits in colors like navy, black, and beige. Her connections helped her find vintage Japanese men's suits that fit her perfectly, as well as a fondness for older collections from Dries and Celine.

While she enjoyed wearing loafers and lug-soled shoes, she occasionally wore heels. On red carpets, she noted that her husband often kept her Birkenstocks tucked inside his jacket for her convenience.
