Sean Diddy Combs was arrested on several charges involving s*xual misconduct last month, and according to an insider who told People Magazine on October 7, the mogul is still just as influential even behind bars. The now-disgraced rapper is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Diddy, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges involving s*x trafficking, transportation for pr*stitution, and racketeering, has no choice but to bide his time until his day in court, given that his bail was denied twice. If convicted, he faces up to a lifetime in court.
Diddy had a huge obsession with "controlling things," insider reveals
According to the insider, given his status, the rapper has gotten away with a lot.
"Everyone always chalked it up to being a creative genius when it came to his obsession with controlling things. He's incredibly smart. He knows a lot of people, and he's helped a lot of people — so a lot of people owe him. He knows that."
However, the Last Night rapper "is capable of a lot—much more than people think, even now," the outlet reported. Furthermore, over 120 accusers are gearing up to file a case against the now-disgraced mogul in addition to the other pending civil lawsuits.
However, according to The Mirror, Diddy is no different from the rest of the inmates because of his status. According to Married at First Sight star Timothy Smith,
"His money and wealth won't get him any benefits. In the federal system, it's so limited, you don't get extra privileges because you're rich. His wealth won't help him in here, nothing at all. You're allowed a few basics like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary, but that's about it. They do raids and if you try to stockpile, they take everything. People think there are TVs and radios, but where he's at there's nothing, not even a radio. You get a Bible and one book per week."
Diddy's mother, Janice Combs, releases a statement
Diddy's mother, Janice Combs, was “profoundly saddened” by her son's legal perils and maintains that her son deserves a chance to “prove his innocence” in court. She said in a statement via her lawyer,
"It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have. My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise."
She continued, noting that the lines between the truth and lies are blurry:
"Sometimes, the truth and a lie become so closely intertwined that it becomes terrifying to admit one part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or is too complicated to be believed. This is why I believe my son’s civil legal team opted to settle the ex-girlfriend’s lawsuit instead of contesting it until the end, resulting in a ricochet effect as the federal government used this decision against my son by interpreting it as an admission of guilt.”
She also expressed her sorrow at watching her son, Diddy, grapple with the allegations, saying,
"Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can never forget. It is truly agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly and easily over lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side or affording him the opportunity to present his side.”
She ended her statement by noting that her son is "not the monster they have painted him to be" and that he "deserves the chance to tell his side."
