Halle Berry
Recently, the Oscar winner Halle Berry shared an Instagram video of her visit to “+COOP” on 7282 Beverly Blvd in LA. In the video, she captured the preparations of a clothing drive, where many have donated their clothes for those in need. Berry confirmed that she will also give away her whole wardrobe while captioning her post,
“I’m packing up my entire closet and heading over to the COOP! If you live in the Southern California area, I urge you to do the same. This is something we can do right now today to help all of the displaced families that are in need of the basics today! Thank you @sharonstone for your leadership. Love you Lady.”
Berry also thanked her Catwoman co-star, Sharon Stone, for her “leadership” role behind the clothing drive.
Sharon Stone
As mentioned by Halle Berry, Sharon Stone is among those who organized the clothing drive at Jenna Cooper’s +COOP (@shopcoopla). A few days back, Stone posted on her official Instagram the news of a clothing drive. The Total Recall star also encouraged people to donate to the victims of the LA wildfires. Stone also posted a clip of +COOP sharing how the store has received donations of toys, clothes, shoes, toiletries, and more.
Besides her involvement with the clothing drive, Stone has also welcomed the displaced to her home. In an interview with NewsNation, the Casino actress said,
“I’ve been taking friends into my home. I have families coming out to move in with us and we’re just setting up. We’re setting up a place to be able to help people. We’re setting up beds and just room in the house… I think all that we can do as people who are in a safe place is give back, especially to those who have lost everything.”

“As a person in the public eye I am often being sent clothes and other things by brands wanting to gift me something. This is very kind and sweet but I want to encourage brands to give to people who really truly need it. Any brands reading this please donate to those who have been tragically affected by these horrific L.A. fires.”
In a separate story, Charli XCX revealed that she would also donate clothes and encouraged her followers to do the same.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
After the disaster happened in LA County, the royal couple – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – were among the celebrities who volunteered on the ground. The couple indulged in distributing the necessary supplies to the victims at Chef José Andrés’ nonprofit World Central Kitchen. They were also joined by Pasadena Mayor Victor M. Gordo, who later spoke to Fox 11,
“They want to be as helpful as they can be. We visited with some of the affected families in some of the burned-out areas in Pasadena and Altadena. They took the time to meet the people that are affected and spent time. They’re just very caring people who are concerned for their friends and neighbors.”
After volunteering, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also met the firefighting personnel and thanked them.
Tyler Perry
On Sunday, January 12, American filmmaker-actor Tyler Perry shared a post on Instagram calling out the insurance companies. He criticized the firms accused of canceling out the policies of many LA County residents who lost their homes to the wildfires. In his post, Perry wrote,
“Watching a daughter use a garden hose to try and protect her 90-year-old parents' home because their insurance was canceled was just gut-wrenching to me. Does anyone else find it appalling that insurance companies can take billions of dollars out of communities for years and then, all of a sudden, be allowed to cancel millions of policies for the very people they became rich on?"
Perry also mentioned being in “the process of trying to figure out what steps to take,” as he was planning to help as many as possible.
Apart from Tyler Perry, Eva Longoria, Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, and other above-mentioned celebrities, many more have also showcased their empathy towards the victims. Companies like Disney, Paramount, Walmart, and more have also pledged millions of dollars to help the aid agencies in relief efforts.
