Eric Bana to star alongside Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton in the new Netflix thiller Apex

Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton's Apex now has another member joining the crew in Troy star Eric Bana.

It is not yet known what his role in the film will be as the film has mostly been kept under wraps for now, with not much details regarding the plot out in public.

The film will star Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton in pivotal roles. The plot of the film will revolve around a rock climber who is attempting survival while being hunted. The thriller will come out in collaboration with Netflix and will be a digital release.

Apex is being written by Jeremy Robbins and will be directed by Baltasar Kormákur. Producers for the film include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready under Chernin Entertainment.

Charlize Theron needs no introduction. The actress is pretty well-known for her action thrillers and kick-ass roles across multiple action franchises.

She will also be seen in The Old Guard 2, returning five years after the success of first film. Accompanied by Uma Thurman, Theron plays the role of Andy, who leads her team of immortals against an unknown enemy.

Taron Egerton is mostly known for his role as Elton John in his biopic The Rocketman, and for playing Gary Eggsy Unwin in Kingsman: The Secret Service.
