YouTuber BG Kumbi is eager to apply for Kamala Harris’ opportunity agenda for black men. On October 15, 2024, Harris announced that her agenda for black men would provide one million fully forgivable loans to Black entrepreneurs and others so that they could grow a business in their community. Sharing the post on X, she wrote,
“As president, I will make sure that Black men can build wealth.”

BG Kumbi responded to the post by asking where he could apply. It is noteworthy that despite being a white man, the YouTuber has a 0.0002% North African DNA, which he disclosed in one of his videos from 2019. With his X post going viral, internet users reacted in their ways. One X user wrote,

BG Kumbi having a small percentage of North African DNA was a ‘mic drop moment’
In his 2019 video when Kumbi disclosed DNA results, he said it was a ‘mic drop moment’ after finding out that he also had North African roots.
He humorously remarked that black individuals who appear white are the true heroes, noting that some black people have white skin. BG Kumbi said,
“Don’t adjust your television sets for those of you watching at home because you heard that right. BG Kumbi is a full-blown African American man. Wade in the water, wade in the water children! Shoutout to all my former slaves out there.”
Kumbi gave a shoutout to figures like Michael Jackson, Shaun King, and Rachel Dolezal, referring to them as his heroes. He also joked about some individuals being women despite having male chromosomes and reproductive organs.
BG Kumbi’s real name is Kevin Stafford. He is best known for his involvement in the so-called 'War with 9gag against 4chan' during the summer of 2012. Reportedly, Kumbi is believed to be a fictional persona created by Kevin, characterized by ironic and exaggerated stories as well as a comical lack of awareness of the world.
His videos mostly consist of vlogs where Kevin shares stories about his life, family, and school experiences. His first video, "Random Ideas and Inventions," was uploaded on May 11, 2012, featuring him discussing random ideas and inventions he claimed to have created.
BG Kumbi's next video showed support for the Kony 2012 campaign. In one video, he introduced an "alter ego" called Trash Bag Man, and in a following video, he humorously explained that he was placed in special education classes for wearing a trash bag over his head at school.
