Singer R. Kelly who is presently imprisoned for s*x trafficking and various other offenses has come to Diddy's defense after the rapper was charged with s*x trafficking and racketeering. Kelly suggested that the arrest was part of a larger conspiracy. Radar Online reported the news on September 26, 2024, claiming they spoke with the imprisoned singer.

However, the news was not verified as no audio recording was available. According to the outlet, R. Kelly expressed his disbelief, saying he wouldn’t trust anything being said about Diddy, comparing it to not believing even basic news like the weather or the color of the sky. Netizens had a lot of opinions following the news. One Instagram user wrote:

“Dw he’s coming to a cell near you.”

Social media users wrote that the claim was ‘delusional’ saying that the singer’s defense was proof of Diddy’s alleged wrongdoings.

“This level of delusion is truly scary.”
“If R.kelly start defending u then u know u did exactly what they said.”
“the wrong person defending the wrong person.”

Others dismissed R. Kelly’s claims saying they couldn’t care less about what he said. Some internet users wrote that his defense made the case worse.

“Who cares what Robert thinks at a time like this.”
“just made his case WORSER*”
“It’s crazy that he would even say that lol he really doesn’t believe he did anything anything wrong.”

R. Kelly reportedly claimed that federal authorities were "hunting" celebrities, suggesting Diddy was singled out due to his flashy display of wealth. He allegedly warned that while people were joking and mocking the situation on various platforms, they could be the next to face similar scrutiny.

He advised that the rapper should regard the federal investigation with seriousness, as celebrities are being targeted regardless of the truth behind the allegations against them.

Before R. Kelly, rapper Ice Cube defended Diddy

During his appearance on the PBD Podcast, Ice Cube suggested that the rapper might be targeted by unnamed influential individuals.

He expressed that the rapper was being singled out, though he acknowledged it was all speculative, saying that it was orchestrated. Ice Cube said:

“You know I am not the partying type you know what I mean. I have never been to a Diddy party, ain’t never really wanted to go but I don’t go to a lot of people parties.”

He continued:

“I believe he is being targeted. I believe you know somebody you know has the power to pull the trigger to make you know this stuff this domino effect.”

He acknowledged that he didn't have enough information to be specific about the issues, describing it all as mere speculation. Additionally, he noted that the Satisfy You singer seemed fine until a certain point, after which things began to change.

According to The Mirror, during his recent performance at the Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California, Ice Cube again mentioned that he is one of the few celebrities who had never attended a party hosted by the rapper.

Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where R. Kelly was previously incarcerated before his transfer to North Carolina.
