Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance broke the viewership record, but naysayers have continued to provide their criticism. In addition to being the most viewed Super Bowl halftime performance, the official video K.Dot’s set has also received 42 million on YouTube, excluding many reaction videos.

Like many content creators and streamers, Kai Cenat recently reacted to Kendrick Lamar’s halftime set. The social media influencer, who also attended the Super Bowl, proclaimed that the organizers used “crowd effects” to add the audience’s cheers to Kendrick Lamar’s entrance on the stage at Caesars Superdome.

The clip of Cenat’s claim was also reposted by RapCard (@rapcrd) on Instagram, which received likes from many, including the Champagne Papi. In the video, which Drake liked, Kai Cenat is heard saying,

“Okay. Oh my god, they add sound effects to the NFL s***. Oh my f****** god. Aight, so right here there was no sound. I just heard crowd sounds. On my life right here, there was no sounds. F*** they add crowd effects? I did not know that.”

Drake’s like on the video is the only direct reaction the Canadian rapper has given after his rival performed at the Super Bowl and won five Grammys. Currently, Drizzy is seemingly more focused on his upcoming $ome $*xy $ongs 4 U album with PartyNextDoor. His Anita Max Win Tour in Oceania is also underway.

Kai Cenat proclaims that the crowd was not vibing during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance

In addition to the viral snippet of Kai’s reaction video, the streamer had also claimed that the crowd was not quite loud, barring a few moments from the set. The streamer agreed that the crowd loved Not Like Us, but some songs should have been switched for the others. In the original video, Cenat added,

“I honestly feel like some of the songs he should have switched out for more. You feel me for like another song or some s*** like… there's some songs on there that I was like, damn he could have switched that out for like this would have been fire here. This would have been fire there, right?”

After putting forth his opinion of the choice of songs and the crowd’s reaction, Kai Cenat did agree that Kendrick Lamar’s performance was monumental. Kai said,

“Although the vibes was not good. Crowd was not good. I don't even think like, bro like they was just not f*** with the performance, like, up until Not Like Us. But, what I will say is, the symbolism behind that performance was top tier.

Kai also added,

I'm not gonna lie. I paid attention to, like, the set. I liked the set, I liked the dancers. I've known to pay attention more to the dancers. I've known to pay attention to what he's saying in between the tracks, the way he's rolling s*** out.”

Kai acknowledged Kendrick Lamar for keeping the culture at the forefront with the dancers and choreography. The YouTuber later said how the Super Bowl halftime set was meant to cater to the TV audience.

The streamer visibly enjoyed K.Dot’s tracks throughout the set and praised Samuel L Jackson’s recurring role as Uncle Sam. For the uninitiated, the set also featured SZA, DJ Mustard, and Tennis icon Serena Williams.
