Kendrick Lamar’s fans are displeased at actor and comedian Andrew Schulz but they might have overstepped this time. During a recent episode of the Brilliant Dots podcast hosted by Charlamagne tha God, the actor said he received texts from Lamar’s fans who commented that they would take out his family. They made such claims in the comment section of the pictures of his daughter on social media.

However, Schulz did not blame Lamar as he said it was the nature of social media. He said,

“But the most extreme ones on a picture of my eight-month baby are going ‘You better take security everywhere cause I am coming for your whole family’ and this is like multiple.”

Andrew Schulz’s claims during the podcast have drawn various reactions from social media users. Many claimed that he was playing the victim card as one X user wrote,

“Don’t play victim now.”

Netizens called Schulz dramatic, saying he was the one who claimed that he would make love to Kendrick Lamar.

“Dude is being dramatic. Talk about milking things. Kendrick has been threatened by bitter, angry Drake and Wayne fans. Andrew stop being soft and playing victim when you in essence threaten that man with r*pe,” a social media user commented.
“now he wants to play victim, like a white man. He also didn't mention that he kept egging on those fans, so he got the stan treatment. Stop engaging and trying to clout chase,” a netizen wrote.

Social media users speculated that Kendrick Lamar’s fans were probably joking with Andrew Schulz while others called them weird.

“Why so sensitive? I'm sure the fans were just joking...it's not that serious, learn how to take a joke,” a person mentioned.
“Kendrick fans are weird,” an online user opined.
“i thought you could joke about everything,” an online commentator remarked.

What was Andrew Schulz’s joke about Kendrick Lamar?

It all goes back to the time when Andrew Schulz attacked Kendrick Lamar for his track Wacced Out Morals where the singer criticized white comedians for talking about black women. Reportedly, netizens interpreted the lines to be directed towards Schulz as he frequently commented about black culture.

Andrew Schulz then addressed these concerns during the FLAGRANT podcast calling Lamar a hypocrite. He pointed out the irony of rappers advising comedians to show more respect to women, noting the contradiction in Lamar’s critique.

He humorously parodied the situation, suggesting that instead of confronting Kendrick Lamar in a fight, he would opt for a more unexpected and comedic approach. The actor then mentioned how the rapper’s fans and close people would attack him given any opportunity but he found the rapper doing the same unbelievable as he said,

“But just Kendrick, I would make love to him. There is nothing he can do about it. Just Kendrick Lamar, I would make love to him and the only thing that he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not. That’s the only thing he could do.”

His comment drew criticisms from contemporary artists like Meek Mill who criticized Andrew Schulz on X, calling his comments about black men offensive and highlighting the seriousness of such issues for the black community.

Mill voiced frustration over the double standards surrounding jokes about race and sexuality. O’Shea Jackson Jr. also condemned Andrew Schulz, referring to him in harsh terms, and expressed disappointment in how the comedian's behavior had changed.
