Pastor Damon Dorsey of Walk by Faith Ministries in Baltimore, U.S. has made it to the viral Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Mustard’ song meme that has left the netizens in splits.

The Internet was filled with humorous reactions to Pastor’s viral speech during one of the sermons at the church. Some were disappointed to see how the Church has become a joke because of few preachers.

The incident came to light when Kendrick Lamar, who will be headlining the Super Bowl event next year, unexpectedly released his new album titled, GNX on November 22. In the track, TV off approximately two minutes into the song, Lamar screams “MUSTARD” right after DJ Mustard plays his signature beat.

Since then it has given rise to several memes across the internet. Many users have linked the shoutout to scenes from SpongeBob SquarePants and Dragon Ball Z giving it a funny twist.

How has DJ Mustard reacted to the GNX release and his ‘TV off’ shoutout?

Reacting to Kendrick Lamar’s sudden album, GNX release, DJ Mustard said that he was “surprised” just like everybody else.

"I had been thinking maybe it’s going to come at the top of the year, maybe it’s going to come around the Super Bowl or whatever."

The producer said, according to a report in Billboard. He said he was in the gym when he saw Lamar’s post which featured a snippet of the song.

Mustard co-produced the TV Off track along with Sean Momberger, Sounwave, Antonoff, and Kamasi Washington. Speaking about Lamar’s viral shoutout to him, he said that it was “fire”.

“That s— was elite. So fire. Like, is that a new tag? I can’t wait to perform that song and just hear people just saying that, ‘cause everybody’s going to say that like crazy.”

Major brands like McDonald's and the NFL have also joined the fun as they incorporated the viral "Mustard" trend in their social media posts. This is evident that Kendrick Lamar's music can resonate with different cultures creating memorable moments among his followers.
