Jenny Slate refused to make a comment about the scandal and lawsuits surrounding the production of It Ends With Us. Slate co-starred in the film alongside Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, both of whom are currently engaged in lawsuits against each other.
Jenny Slate, who has been promoting her new miniseries, Dying for S*x, was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter and was asked to make a comparison between her experiences during the production of Dying for S*x and It Ends With Us. The latter film, which was a box office success when it was released in August 2024, has since garnered a lot of media attention because of the s*xual harassment lawsuit filed by Lively against Baldoni, who also sued Lively and others for allegedly working to damage his career. As per the interview published by The Hollywood Reporter, Slate, while responding to the request for a comment, said,
“I don’t have anything to say about that”
While refusing to comment on It Ends With Us, Slate also mentioned that it was important for her to keep the conversation focused on her new miniseries and honor the hard work she had poured into it. Dying for S*x, which stars Jenny Slate and Michelle Williams, will begin streaming on April 4 on Hulu.

Jenny Slate’s position in the Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni conflict
While Jenny Slate refused to comment on the It Ends With Us production, she did not refrain from taking a side when the controversy erupted back in December 2024.
Slate had publicly made a statement in support of her co-star Blake Lively when the latter accused the film’s director and actor Justin Baldoni of s*xual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on the set. According to the statement obtained by today.com, Slate had said,
“As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation…I commend my friend, I admire her bravery, and I stand by her side.”

Blake Lively’s initial complaint was followed by a federal lawsuit on December 31 in which she not only alleged s*xual misconduct, but also claimed that she faced retaliation from Justin Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, after she had filed the complaint. In a statement obtained by ABC, Lively’s attorney had said,
“As alleged in Ms. Lively's complaint, and as we will prove in litigation, Wayfarer and its associates engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing against Ms. Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a film set.”
In response to Lively’s lawsuit, Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist. In the lawsuit, Baldoni alleged defamation and extortion by Lively, further claiming that Lively wanted to gain creative control over the film under the threat of false allegations. A statement by Baldoni’s lawyer, quoted by ABC, reads:
“We are releasing all of the evidence which will show a pattern of bullying and threats to take over the movie. None of this will come as a surprise because consistent with her past behavior Blake Lively used other people to communicate those threats and bully her way to get whatever she wanted. We have all the receipts and more.”

In the midst of the legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars, media attention inevitably fell on Jenny Slate, who played Allysa, Baldoni’s character’s sister. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Slate had allegedly filed an HR complaint against Jamey Heath, Justin Baldoni’s producing partner. The report by The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Slate reportedly had been made uncomfortable by Heath’s comments about motherhood. These comments were allegedly made by Heath during the production of the film.
Heath allegedly made the comments while responding to a problem with housing that Slate faced while shooting for the film. Media attention on Slate’s complaint increased right after Lively amended her lawsuit, in which she further alleged that two unnamed women had also filed complaints against Baldoni’s production team during the shooting of the film. The amended lawsuit also mentioned that the unnamed women would be willing to testify in court.
Jenny Slate has not confirmed to the media about the veracity of the news story of her complaint and whether she was one of the unnamed women willing to testify in court for Blake Lively. Her new interview with The Hollywood Reporter does not clarify the picture either.
