On Thursday, February 20, Simone Biles, Sports Illustrated's 2024 Sportsperson of the Year and Olympic Gold Medalist, shared on her Instagram page her experience visiting a daycare in South Africa with her husband, Jonathan Owens (NFL safety) while on their honeymoon.

According to People Magazine citing Biles, the daycare was started by a staff at the hotel where the couple is staying for their honeymoon. She further notes that Obert (possibly the staff's name) started the daycare to help his community. The daycare currently provides about 87 local children with a place to learn and play. According to reports, the couple also gave the kids some blankets made by a local senior center as well as some nutritional bars.

Biles and Owens got married in April 2023 after they met in 2020. Though currently, the couple does not have any children, Simone Biles in an interview with Hoda Kotb on TODAY once mentioned that she does plan on becoming a mom in the long run after the two of them, herself and Owens, accomplish their own goals.

"Yes, me and Jonathan always talk about kids, and he would have had them yesterday if he could have. ObWeave goals that we want to achieve before we start a family.- Simone Biles via TODAY

Simone Biles is a well-renowned Gymnast with seven Olympic gold medals, achieving all this while being supported by her family, consisting of her parents, five siblings (including three biological siblings), and now her husband.

Simone never fails to show appreciation for her family members, especially her parents Ronald Biles (Simone's biological grandfather), and his wife, Nellie Biles, who adopted Simone and her sister, Adria Biles (former gymnast), when Simone was just six years old.

According to reports, Simone also has two other biological siblings, Tevin and Ashley, who were adopted by a great-aunt in Ohio. When talking about her childhood in foster care, she mentioned that the four siblings were placed in foster care due to their birth mom's substance abuse issues. She was glad they were able to stay together while in foster care, though she did not remember much of it, ABC News reported.

She also has two more siblings via her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, Ronald Biles Jr. and Adam. Simone and her niece, Ronni Biles (Ronald Jr. and his wife Samantha's daughter), seem to have a close relationship.

According to reports, Simone doesn't have any connection with her biological parents, Shannon Biles and Kelvin Clemons, both of whom were said to have had trouble with addiction. Though Shannon has done a few interviews, Clemons reportedly never appeared before the public eye.

In her docuseries, Simone Biles: Rising, Simone talks about her personal life and how she reached where she is today.
