DJ Akademiks' latest controversy with streamer NourGxd, explored

Podcaster and internet personality DJ Akademiks, or Livingston Allen, has now come under fire for his alleged problematic comments to the 15-year-old streamer, NourGxd. Allen and alleged celebrity manager WrittenByRay made the remarks that were reportedly of s*xual and grooming nature during a Fortnite stream on January 23, 2025.

As seen in viral clips, Akademiks asked for Nour’s address saying he would send escorts to his place. The 15-year-old streamer asked him to slow down, reminding him of his age. In other viral clips, they asked Nour whether he was interested in men, if he would like to have gender reassignment, and made other similar s*xually inappropriate comments.

When Nour laughed off a remark denied being queer, he faced another inappropriate comment. Later, DJ Akademiks asked Nour an inappropriate question involving streamer Plaqueboymax's sister.

Nour is Plaqueboymax’s Discord moderator and Max wasn’t happy about the comments. He called out Allen in a livestream and warned against repeating such behavior, accusing him of grooming the boy. He said:

“Now, I'm not going through this s**t. I'm not. Because these clips are nasty. It's bad work, nasty work, and today's a great stream, and I'm not bringing it down with this weird energy. Ak, this s**t is very weird. I talked to Nour, Nour is good, to make sure bruh was good. I'm not finna go through this s**t.”

Plaqueboymax called the actions strange and unacceptable. He emphasized that he didn't want to hide the issue but didn't want to give it unnecessary attention either. Max advised young people in similar online spaces to distance themselves from uncomfortable or inappropriate situations.

DJ Akademiks claimed he provided financial assistance to NourGxd

However, Akademiks was unhappy over being called out by Plaqueboymax and said he wouldn’t support the streamer anymore. He also defended himself, claiming he and others provided financial and emotional support to Nour during a difficult time, while accusing Plaqueboymax of not contributing.

Addressing the viral clips in a separate stream, Akademiks called the incident regrettable and acknowledged his actions as irresponsible. He pledged to take accountability and use the situation as a learning experience, emphasizing his intention to do better. Meanwhile, NourGxd took to his X to write about Allen's statements. He wrote:

“After everything that happened and after they tryna defame Max and the shit he said and did is insane he realized he’s in the wrong only bc he got caught idgaf, you are a pdf, you “apologized” with a backhand “oh 5$TAR So Toxic etc” shut up I bleed and breathe 5$TAR weird a** mf.”

The teenager, during a call with streamer ImDontai, reportedly described Allen’s actions as uncomfortable and inappropriate. He also stated that Akademiks, Ray, and others were aware he was live-streaming at the time, later deleting some messages to him, and attempting to minimize the issue, while asking him to remove the stream recordings.

Streamer Scru Face Jean also reached out to NourGxd to share his experience on his platform. Jean noted that due to the sensitive nature of the situation, NourGxd's guardian and possibly law enforcement had become involved.

Following the incident, rapper Meek Mill strongly criticized Akademiks' actions, urging parents to monitor their children’s phones and block Allen, accusing him of inappropriate behavior toward minors and harming Black families and success.
