Internet personality DJ Akademiks, aka Livingston Allen, is reportedly facing a ban on the streaming platform Twitch. However, it is now being circulated that he has also been allegedly banned from the McDonald’s app. This news was shared by the X account “Akademiks TV” which wrote:

“DJ Akademiks has allegedly been banned from the McDonald’s app Over 8.6m points have also been seized by the authorities and will be redeemed on charity donations.”

It is noteworthy that McDonald’s has not released any official notification regarding his ban and the news is being circulated by media reports.

The news of this alleged ban was first posted on the X account @KonnyTalks and later reshared by Akademiks TV. However, the veracity of the news remains under question, as the post might have been jokingly reshared.

After being banned from Twitch, Allen acknowledged the situation and said he was ready to move on since dwelling on the previous incident wouldn’t help. Regarding the ban, he said he understood the platform’s decision and planned to work with them to resolve it.

In the meantime, he would continue streaming on Rumble, Meta, and YouTube, noting that most of his audience came from YouTube. He also dismissed claims of losing sponsorships, confirming that his partnerships, including Stake’s support on X, remained intact.

Why is DJ Akademiks facing the alleged bans on these platforms?

It goes back to January 23, 2025, when Allen allegedly made inappropriate comments to a younger online streamer NourGxd. In the viral clips, Allen asked Nour for his address and suggested he would send escorts. He also made other s*xually inappropriate remarks.

Nour is reportedly streamer Plaqueboymax's Discord moderator, who expressed discomfort at the interaction. Max was upset by the comments and called out DJ Akademiks during a livestream.

He also warned him against repeating such behavior and accused him of grooming Nour. Max stated that the situation was disturbing and that he had checked on Nour to ensure he was okay. The streamer also reacted to DJ Akademiks' Twitch ban saying:

"If you told me in 2023 or even last year that this ni**a Akademiks will get banned due to something that happened with Nour playing Fortnite, Nour would quote tweet it and get 40,000 likes, I will probably smack the sh*t out."

Nonetheless, in response to the grooming allegations, DJ Akademiks acknowledged the controversy but rejected attempts to cancel him, stressing that his success was self-made. He admitted to making mistakes and vowed to be more careful. On the Rumble Stream, he said:

A very regretful moment happened where it derived from a Discord where we are usually like super buddy-buddy and honestly, if everything I said in that court got leaked, it would be crazy. Definitely a regrettable moment and we're gonna use this as a teachable moment.

He added:

I'll just take the responsibility. I should do better and will do better and I think that's the best way to do it.

Meanwhile, streamer Adin Ross has spoken up about the incident. He commented that the situation was strange, but emphasized that while the comments made were inappropriate, it doesn't mean the person involved should be labeled a p*dophile.

Ross criticized how people pick and choose who to hold accountable, arguing that treatment should be consistent for everyone. He pointed out that his friends have said worse things, yet there's a double standard.
