ATL Jacob and DJ Akademiks got into a public spat on Tuesday, October 8. Things first got heated when Jacob took shots at the media personality's comment about producers. Things continually escalated, and at one point, DJ Akademiks dubbed Jacob "f**king r******d."
The exchange first started with Jacob tagging DJ Akademiks in his tweet:

"Aye lil bruh @Akademiks u sound dumb as hell .. n***a said 'u can’t have an opinion cause u a producer' what u think got me here? I got a opinion about every song i work on."
He continued in a follow-up tweet:
"Ni**as forget .. the producer just as important as the artist .. what ni**as gon rap on if every producer woke up and decided they deserved more points and bonuses and said no beats til they get it."
Akademiks retorted not long after:
"You heard what I said n***a STFU and make some drums if u gon back peddle every single time u speak out the side of ur mouth and get checked."
DJ Akademiks says he "keeps receipts" of proof that ATL Jacob is a backstabber
After the initial exchanges, things quickly took a more serious turn. DJ Akademiks insinuated that ATL Jacob spoke behind his friends' backs, and the latter was not happy. Jacob first took shots at his weight, noting that he "got DJ in his name and talk the most sh*t." He then asked his opponent to "pull up in Atlanta," implying that he could take him out if he wanted to.
However, Akademiks replied,
"you got amnesia or you just f*cking retarded... Why U aint ask WHy I aint a DJ when You traveled 1000 miles from Atlanta to New jersey to sit infront of me like a lil boy interviewing for a job.. gossipping bout future n them ni**as tryna impress me?"
He also sarcastically replied to ATL Jacob's threat, claiming, "This one got me. Im finally terrified yall."
Akademiks also told Jacob to "go make sum f*cking beats n stfu..." Then, at 1:41 am, ATL Jacob said he's not "scared of no ni**a that tweet from his computer." He then kicked things up a notch when he offered the former $250,000 to try and prove him "gossiping on any of [his] bruddas personal lives." Akademiks seemingly got more mad as he penned in three consecutive posts:
"You sound like a H*E tryna show out. Ni**a i dont need ur lil money. Go invest that in ya career. I run media I love ni**as like you who gossip bout their ni**as (future etc) to me. I'll explain on my stream. ... I dont let no rappers talk no type of shit to me.. imagine a wanna be metroboomin a** ni**a talking like he that ni**a to me? ni**a please. @atljacobbeatz ... Now he revealed his hand that all the gossipping he did to me bout future is what he tryna make sure dont come out. Perfect. Thank you bum a** ni**a."
Regardless, Jacob was not happy. He called on him to stop "explaining" and making "sh*t up" and to "show the proof," dubbing him "crazy." Akademiks retweeted; while he doesn't record their private conversations, he can't be so spot-on with what he's saying if it's all false.

When one fan chimed in, calling on Jacob to prove that his rival was lying, he wore on his entire career in his defense.
In recent days, ATL Jacob has been involved in another spat with the legend Cardi B. However, he asserted that the feud was unintentional, and he had too much respect for her and her baby daddy Offset to disrespect her.
