The latest accusation that hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs is surrounded by is that of reportedly s*xually assaulting one of his former male assistants. The assistant has filed a lawsuit against the rapper claiming that he was drugged and r*ped in February 2020. His name has not been disclosed and is identified as "John Doe."
According to a December 12 publication by All Hip Hop, the former assistant recounted the incident happening at Combs’ place at InterContinental New York Times Square where a meeting was being held to discuss payments. The lawsuit mentioned that Combs served drinks during the meeting, one of which was allegedly spiked with intoxicants.
After John Joe had the drink and passed out, he only woke up to find the hip-hop mogul s*xually assaulting him. His complaint added that Diddy intimidated and gaslighted him into believing he would make a fool of himself if he ever shared the incident as no one would trust him given Combs' reputation in the industry.
Two more similar accusations have been raised against the rapper. All these men decided to file the lawsuit anonymously as they were allegedly apprehensive that Combs’ influence could put them under threat. As reported by the BBC on December 13, three complaints were filed on December 12, 2024, at the New York Supreme Court, claiming that the incidents occurred between 2019 to 2022.
As per the two accusers, they went to a party where Diddy himself served them drinks, having which they became unconscious. Combs’ legal team dismissed these allegations saying they were false.
The lawyers shared a statement with BBC saying they were ready to prove the allegations false and would also seek sanctions against the lawyers who filed the lawsuits in the first place.
Thomas Giuffra filed the lawsuits against Diddy
In an interview with BBC, Thomas Giuffra, the attorney who has filed the lawsuits including that of the former assistant, said that more than 60 individuals have made similar claims against the rapper. After his office looked into the cases, it was decided to file the three lawsuits.
One of the plaintiffs, also listed as John Doe, accused Diddy of assault following an encounter at New York’s Marquee nightclub in 2019. His complaint stated that he joined Combs for a private afterparty where he was offered a cocktail.
He became unconscious after having the drink but during the interim moments of consciousness, he saw that he was being s*xually assaulted by the hip-hop mogul while two individuals recorded it.
The individual further claimed that he was offered $2500 the next morning by the two individuals. One of the other plaintiffs alleged that he was at a party in Diddy’s East Hampton home in 2020 where he became unconscious after consuming alcohol. He alleged that Combs and other members of Bad Boys Entertainment r*ped him.
Diddy is now under custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre. He was denied bail thrice and his trial is due on May 5, 2025. With the latest three lawsuits, the number of cases against the hip-hop mogul exceeded 30. The hip-hop mogul has denied all the allegations and his legal team insists that he is innocent.
