Maya Henry, a former model, and Liam Payne's ex-fiancee revealed that she was once pressured into terminating her pregnancy by a former unnamed partner. It remains unclear if the partner in question was Liam Payne. In speaking with People Magazine in May 2024, she revealed that her book, Looking Forward, which came out that month, "drew inspiration" from "true events" in her life.

She also disclosed that she used the journals she wrote during COVID-19- while the two were together- to draw inspiration from, Betches reported. In the book, the protagonist, Mallory, is forced to choose between undergoing an abortion or losing her partner. She caved, and Henry revealed that it was "very similar” to what happened to her.

Maya Henry says it was "very lonely" for her while getting an abortion

Maya Henry told People Magazine in an interview that came out on May 16, 2024:

"If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it. But then also, if I were to have made a different decision, then I would’ve lost the person that I loved. There were definitely difficult conversations about it. But looking back now, things happen for a reason.”

Maya Henry and Liam Payne got engaged in 2020, but the two had a rocky relationship. The two met when the former was just 15, at a meet-and-greet in 2015. The two got together in August 2020, and by September 2019, they made things official in the public eye.

She revealed that she suffered complications during the termination, and had to rush to the hospital herself.

“It was very lonely, having these men tell you, ‘Oh, it’s going to feel like a heavy period, it’s not going to be that painful, it’s going to be easy.’ But I’m like, you’ve never even gone through anything like [this], so how would you know to tell me? That’s why I wanted to include it in the book, because I’ve seen so many people online talk about taking the abortion pill and it was the most painful thing for them. It’s just mind-boggling to me that you could tell a woman how they’re going to feel.”

Maya Henry claims she was blindsided when Liam broke up with her

Maya Henry and Liam called it quits for the final time in May 2022. Despite calling off their engagement just a month earlier, "Maya was blindsided by the split," E! News reported. A source claims,

"He abruptly ended it with her. She is very upset. They have definitely had their fair share of ups and downs in their relationship."

That same month, she responded to those tagging her in photos of Payne getting cozy with other women.

"I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman. This is not me and it's hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now."

In speaking about his relationships, the dad of one said on The Diary of a CEO podcast in June 2021,

"I know what my pattern of things is with relationships, I feel at this point. I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else. And I feel like that's where I got to in my last relationship. I just wasn't giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn't appreciate and I didn't like being."

Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday evening. At the time, he was 31 years old and leaves behind his son, Bear, whom he shares with ex Cheryl Cole.
