Death is out for revenge in the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines 

The highly awaited trailer for the Final Destination franchise's latest addition, Final Destination: Bloodlines is here and things already look scary as the new film promises to be a thrilling ride with Death returning to terrorize the inhabitants of the film. Like it's predecessors, the film follows along the plotline of a bunch of people's desperate attempts to avoid death along with one person in the team having psychic visions of whatever awaits them.

The film opens with a small party going on in a backyard that is interrupted by a series of events- a glass piece unknowingly being on an ice tray, a landmower accident that leads to a man's death, as the family grapples with the consequences of the grim atmosphere while also attempting to survive themselves.

We then continue to see how death can be avoided simply by embracing it as the franchise's regular William Bloodworth says,

‘Only by embracing death will it pass you by.’

The plot of the film will likely surround around Iris who escapes death once and then goes on to have that part of her life overthrown as she begins a family and lives life normally. Only to have death knock on her door again, years later, putting her and her family's lives in grave danger. In the trailer she is heard saying,

"Death is coming for us because we were never supposed to exist,"

The grisly visuals of the film promise to be a thrilling, gory ride that will keep you on the edge of your seats as the spine-chilling terror continues. Returning after more than a decade since the last Final Destination film, this one is surely going to be worth the long wait.

The official synopsis of the film reads,

‘The newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s bloody successful franchise takes audiences back to the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice – Final Destination Bloodlines,’

It further adds,

‘Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.’

The film is also Tony Todd's last project as the beloved actor's death shook Hollywood last year. Todd was known for his role as William throughout the franchise, becoming a favorite regular in all the films.

Final Destination: Bloodlines also stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger. The film is helmed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor.

Final Destination: Bloodlines is set to release on May 16, 2025.
