Death Of A Unicorn is an upcoming offering from A24. The horror comedy has been written and directed by Alex Scharfman. Initially, the film will be premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Festival, followed by its theatrical release on March 28, 2025.

The official synopsis reads,

Father-Daughter duo Elliott and Ridley hit a unicorn with their car and bring it to the wilderness retreat of a mega-wealthy pharmaceutical CEO.

Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have dropped an official promo of Death of a Unicorn, which provides a glimpse into its unique and quirky premise laced with humor and horror.

A24 has recently released a 58-second-long official promo of their forthcoming horror comedy, Death of a Unicorn. The video begins with an advertisement for a pharmaceutical company called Leopold Laboratories. The ad asks viewers if they want the key to limitless potential and the secret to eternal youth. It is interrupted by a group of people staring at someone when one of them exclaims that it's a unicorn.

The video then showcases unicorns as the characters speak that they are real. These bits are intercut with a pharmaceutical CEO who is talking about a formula that might make them 'live forever.' In December 2024, the makers released its official trailer.

The premise of the film revolves around Elliot Kintner, who is going to meet his boss Odell Leopold. He is accompanied by his teenage daughter, Ridley Kintner. Leopold's team has captured a unicorn whom they believe has powers that can cure things. However, things change when the folks of the unicorn start killing everyone one by one.
