Deadpool & Wolverine have been breaking all kinds of records with regards to their views and ratings. Since releasing in theatres internationally on July 26, 2024, they’ve amassed the appreciation and love of MCU fans galore. Now, it appears they’ve been given the green light to digitally stream the movie - more good news!
Entertainment Weekly confirms Deadpool & Wolverine can be binged by viewers and subscribers of Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango in the USA on September 30, 2024 at 9 PM EST or October 1, 2024 ET. Details about a digital release in the UK, Canada, Australia, and other countries are unknown for the moment.
Moreover, the movie will be available for digital circulation on Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD from October 22, 2024. Speculations suggest Disney + would also acquire streaming rights for the same, which would mean the movie could be released in time for Halloween or early November. However, the same is yet to be confirmed.
The MCU fandom adds a sweet bonus, deleted scenes, a behind-the-scenes montage, a gag reel, commentary by the director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds, and a never-before-seen still from the movie. This is indeed a sweet treat from the MCU, who are stepping up their game.
The publication has already exclusively dropped a featurette from Deadpool & Wolverine’s upcoming digital release. The video featured glimpses from the aforementioned behind-the-scenes followed by variants of Wolverine - a fan favorite.
To commemorate the Blu-Ray launch, Walmart will be selling a pop-up of Reynold’s anti-hero in CD form. Similarly, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray will be of limited-edition SteelBooks, with artwork and cover containing all the variants of Deadpool from the movie.
Every Box-Office record held by Deadpool & Wolverine
The digital release announcement comes after Deadpool & Wolverine’s whopping Box-office record over the last few months since it released. Per Collider, the MCU is a bigger hit than The Avengers.
Moreover, it hit a major high after securing $689 Million globally and $627 Million in the USA, tallying the budget to a staggering $1.317 Billion!
Deadpool & Wolverine has grown to become the 7th largest MCU movie in their history and has officially entered the hall of fame in the MCU-verse. Additionally, it has earned a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 78%, cementing its authenticity as a great watch for viewers.
After the animated movie Inside Out 2, the movie is the 2nd biggest R-rated blockbuster of 2024. Likewise, it is already enroute to creating history since it has landed in the 20 Highest Grossing Films in the Global Box Office list.
With the year yet to end and a digital release not too far away, Deadpool & Wolverine might just break a few more records before 2025.
