Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle's new Netflix show, Dolly Parton's sister Stella Parton has also chimed in and supported the former actress. Stella has extended her support for Markle via X (formerly Twitter) and mentioned that she is a "daughter" that every parent wants.
For the unversed, earlier this month, Markle's new show With Love, Meghan was dropped on the streaming giant. The show's concept revolves around the Suits actress and her celebrity friends.
She invites her friends to a California estate and shares some cooking, gardening, and hosting tips. She also prepares some fresh delicacies with her friends and later relishes them. Some of the guests on the show included Mindy Kaling and actress Abigail Spencer.
Ever since the show arrived on Netflix, it seemingly did not convince critics. Several aspects of the show sparked controversies, including Meghan Markle reminding Mindy Kalking of her Sussex title as the latter addressed her by her maiden name. Many publications also mentioned that they were confused about whether Markle was learning new recipes or sharing her tips. In the latest controversy, she took pretzels from Trader Joe's original packet, moved them into a new bag, and labeled them.
However, Dolly Parton's sister Stella Parton is not concerned about the controversies. The singer is rather here to support Meghan Markle for her new show.
Stella Parton reacted to an X post which read,
"Make no mistake, if it was Kate Middleton with the wildly successful Netflix show, royalists would be hanging from the rafters claiming she was the second coming of christ. It's not what Meghan Markle is doing that they hate. They hate that the 'wrong one' is successful."
Extending her support, she wrote,
"They hate that Meghan is so smart, talented and kind not to mention beautiful! They can’t stand that Meghan checks all the boxes. Meghan Markle is the daughter every parent should want."
Several netizens supported Stella's tweet and lauded Meghan Markle for her show. Despite the poor reviews, the show has been renewed for another season.

Among the 11, Floyd, Randy, Frieda, and Larry are no more.
The 75-year-old singer, Stella, also walked on her elder sister Dolly Parton's path and became a country music star. After launching her career in the industry, she debuted with the album I Want To Holy You in My Dreams Tonight in 1975. To date, she has released more than 36 albums.
Despite having a solo career in the music industry, Stella Parton often collaborates with her family. She has also performed with her elder sister Dolly Parton on stage many times. Talking about her family, Stella told People Magazine that everyone knows she is independent and "a loner in my family." However, when they need her help "with something, producing, consulting or whatever, I'm always there."
