After the two films in the Domingo González-directed Culpables series, the third film, Culpa Nuestra (Our Fault), is set to make its way next year, the director confirmed Deadline in a recent interview. Although we don't have the exact date of the release window yet, the likelihood of it being released during mid-2025 is high.
The story first appeared on Wattpad, written by Mercedes Ron, which instantly got traction among the readers. Stars, Nicole Wallace, plays Noah, and, Gabriel Guevara, plays Nick, her love interest. Both the films are currently available on Amazon Prime for streaming and are getting significant traction, much like Wattpad.
Culpa Nuestra is likely seeing a June 2025 release window
The now-updated report via Deadline speculated a June 2025 release window for the film, but it can be pushed later in the year. However, there is less likelihood of it being extended further.
González shared the feedback from a few who have seen Culpa Nuestra and the third part will be a treat for romantic drama lovers. He said:
"People are saying that the second one is better than the first, and everybody that has seen the third movie says that it is the best of the three."
Culpa Mia (My Fault) sees the step-siblings, Noah and Nick, entering into a romantic relationship secretly, while Culpa Tuya (Your Fault) sees their parents trying to break this tie. Now, the Culpa Nuestra will conclude whether they will stay together or part ways.
The latter two movies were filmed in succession following the love Culpa Mia received from the audience. The first in the series was released in June 2023, while the second was released December 27 this year. The story has become a global phenomenon when it comes to OTT platforms.
However, they aren't doing well critically given that the first film is sitting with a 6.2 rating on Amazon Prime while the second one has a 5.4 at the time of writing.
The original Culpables saga by Mercedes Ron was The New York Times bestseller, which sold three million copies. Other than that, Mercedes has written two more stories, Enfrentados and Dimelo, where toxic relationship take center stage among the characters.
