Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe has landed a Netflix gig for three Kill Tony podcast specials and a comedy special. Hinchcliffe has been in the middle of controversies after allegedly making racist comments at a Trump rally in October at Madison Square Garden.
Netflix, in an X post on March 10, noted,
"Kill Tony is coming to Netflix. We're teaming up with Tony Hinchcliffe to run the world's #1 live podcast into 3 exclusive comedy specials - with the first premiering April 7."
Hinchcliffe had slammed numerous ethnicities, including Puerto Ricans, Haitians, Jewish, and Black people at the Trump rally. He asked the crowd,
"Where are my proud Latinos at tonight?"
When the crowd cheered, Tony went in to say,
"You guys see what I mean? (The border's) wide open. There's so many of them. These Latinos, they love making babies, too. There's no pulling out. They don't do that. They come inside just like they did to our country."
The comedian also called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean." This reportedly isn't the first time Hinchcliffe has made racist remarks. During a Dallas stand-up show, he used racial slurs to mock fellow comedian Peng Dang. After he was introduced by Peng Deng on the stage, Tony goes on to say,
"One more time for the filty little f****ing c**k that was just here. All you f***ing race traitors are hooping and hollowing. I was back there watching you puck in a f****ing bucket. Oh we make gunpowde,r Oh you want extra soy sauce. Oh, you borrow money from us."
Tony was soon dropped by his talent agency, William Morris Endeavor.
"I apologize to absolutely nobody" - says Tony Hinchcliffe
Tony Hinchcliffe's October Trump rally speech went viral on the internet, with many Puerto Rican artists, including Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, actress Aubrey Plaza, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and former Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz bashing him.
Shortly after, Hinchcliffe, according to Variety, said he does not feel apologetic for his comments,
"I apologize to absolutely nobody. Not to the Puerto Ricans, not to the whites, not to the whites, not to the Blacks, not to the Palestinians, not to the Jews, and not to my own mother, who i made fun of during the set. Nobody clipped that."
However, Tony did agree that the time and place of the set was not the "best f****ing place."
Tony Hinchcliffe's comedy specials are scheduled to air on Netflix, starting on April 7.
