Cher's rep. reportedly denies split rumors with the singer's 39-year-old boyfriend Alexander Edwards post his Coachella appearance

Cher or Cherilyn Sarkisian, 78, has responded to rumors of her split with her boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards, after the latter was spotted partying with a group of women at Coachella without her.

The singer's rep, while speaking to TMZ, reportedly shut down the rumors and mentioned that the two are still together romantically and are very happy, adding that Cher's absence at Coachella doesn't affect her.

The singer has been dating Alexander for a while after the two met at Paris Fashion Week in 2022, and went on to make their red carpet debut at Versace's Los Angeles fashion show in March 2023. Edwards is a model and a music executive and was previously dating Amber Rose, with whom he shares a son, Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.

Despite having almost 40 years of an age gap, Cher and Alexander are reportedly going strong. A source close to the couple, while speaking to In Touch in an article published in April 2025, mentioned that the singer has plans to marry the music executive:

"Cher and A.E have had some bumps along the way, but the past year they have been solid as a rock, to the point where she's started dropping hints that she wants him to marry her. She's an old-school romantic, the man has to propose, she's not going to do the asking."

The couple had reportedly broken up in May 2023, after an insider, while speaking to E! News, claimed that the two split "a few weeks ago" and that things were "amicable" between the two. However, the two squashed any rumors after they were photographed holding hands by Page Six while they headed to dinner together with friends.

In October 2023, while speaking to People Magazine, the singer revealed that "it's never too late" to find love, and opened up about their first anniversary:

"I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it's never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, 'Well, this is doomed.' But we've been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would've been worth it. I've had the best time."

Alexander and his ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose, split after Rose accused him of cheating with 12 women back in 2021. At the time, Edwards had also mentioned that cheating is his "true nature."
