The search for Charlotte Drozd, the 16-year-old daughter of Flaming Lips drummer Steven Drozd, has taken a devastating turn as efforts to find her have intensified. Charlotte was last seen near the space needle in Seattle on Saturday morning of October 5. Since then, the police, along with her family and friends have been trying to track her whereabouts.
The Seattle Police Department issued an amber alert and took to Twitter to describe the last-seen details of Charlotte Drozd:

"MISSING: Charlotte, 16 y/o, WF, 5’9”, 140lbs, brown eyes and long brown hair. Wearing khaki color shorts and pink shoes. Last seen Saturday 10-5-24 at 11:30 a.m., in the 400 block of Broad Street by the Space Needle."

On the day of her disappearance, Charlotte Drozd was reportedly seen leaving a local café where she had met up with friends. Her family grew concerned when she failed to return home that evening. After several unanswered calls and texts, the Drozds contacted the local authorities to report her missing.
Since then, both Oklahoma City police and private investigators have joined the effort to locate Charlotte Drozd, following multiple leads and tips from across the region.
The news caught fire on social media when on Monday morning, of October 7, Steven Drozd, posted a plea on his X account:

Members of the Flaming Lips band and known musicians and artists like Kurt Vile, and Juliette Lewis have also turned to their social media platforms, sharing Charlotte Drozd's missing poster and urging anyone with any information to come forward.
In efforts to raise awareness, Wayne Coyne, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Flaming Lips took to his Instagram to post:

Authorities have already reviewed surveillance footage from the café where she was last spotted, and are now speaking with her friends and contacts in hopes of uncovering new information.
The disappearance has sent shockwaves through the tightly-knit Oklahoma community and amidst fans of the band. The fans of the rock band are rallying behind the family and sharing Charlotte's missing person poster both— locally and online. The hashtag #FindCharolleteWeb has been trending with support from all across the globe.
Apart from the ongoing and tireless efforts by the police, a hotline (206) 684-4585 has been set up, urging anyone with leads and tips about Charlotte Drozd to come forward. Becky Drozd, Charlotte's mother has also requested anyone with any information to come forward and call her.
