For someone who has been in Hollywood for over five decades. Harrison Ford has had an extensive career spanning across multiple genres and films, making him a household name in the industry. At 82, the actor has made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as antagonist Red Hulk and Thaddeus Ross and has been one of the biggest highlights of the film.

As he continues to be a steady force, the actor still shared an insight into his plans for retirement in the middle of a busy year as he appears in 1923, Shrinking and Captain America: Brave New World. During a promotional event for 1923, Ford was asked about his thoughts on stepping back from his career. In response, he shared his perspective on when he might consider slowing down. Speaking to ET, the actor gave a quick-witted response and said,

"When you forget my name."

A week ago, however, the actor responded differently to the question, while in a conversation with Wall Street Journal. Revealing his plans for retirement, Ford said,

"I want to finish what I'm doing, I'd like to spend more time flying; like to spend more time with my family at home. I have things in my life outside of movies."

Replacing William Hurt in the franchise, Harrison Ford made his Marvel debut earlier this month as he portrayed Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross in the film while transforming into the vicious Red Hulk. As the President of the United States, Ford's character has been one of importance, and the actor has matched up to its brilliance by being one of the best things in the film.

At a press conference for the film, the actor opened up on what an honor it was to walk through William Hurt's legacy and be a part of the Marvel project. The actor said,

"I'd like to think the character was a great fit for me. I was honored to be able to do my work on top of a foundation that a wonderful actor, Bill Hurt, provided for the character. And the story is a wonderful extension of the stories that Thunderbolt Ross has been part of."

Many have also questioned if he would be reprising his role as the Red Hulk in future projects surrounding the anti-hero, and thankfully, it's not an idea Ford is against. The Star Wars actor has expressed his interest in returning to his role multiple times, expressing his excitement about what the MCU holds for Ross and Red Hulk's character.

Speaking to Empire in December, Harrison Ford said

I’m awaiting my new assignment. I think it will be fascinating to see where that character goes if he goes anywhere.

Captain America: Brave New World is available in theaters.
