Candace Owens, a right-wing political commentator, is making headlines due to her response to a legal letter she received from Emmanuel Macron. The move comes on the heels of her discussion of the contentious theory that Macron's wife, Brigitte, was born a man.

On January 11, Owens issued a lengthy statement on X, asserting that she would not be intimidated by any threats that may come her way, even going so far as to threaten the President of France with her right to "free speech." She accused him of trying to silence her, which she claimed he had no right to do. She also doubled down on her claims that Brigitte was a man by referring to her as "mister."

In a statement on X, Candace Owens penned the following:

"In mid-November, I made contact with a journalist claiming to have a trove of evidence proving Brigitte Macron was born a man. In December I flew to Europe to examine the evidence and to interview the journalist for over two hours. Just 10 days after our initial correspondence, SITTING President Emmanuel Macron and his ‘wife’ Brigitte Macron sent me a legal threat which they demanded we not publicize."

She revealed that she would be publicizing the letter, noting that she believed that the letter was sent to intimidate her out of "publishing the explosive piece which was due to premiere on January 30."

"We will not be intimidated," she went on. "Today on the show, we will reveal to you all the strange sequence of events and remind @EmmanuelMacron that America is not Europe. We have free speech here and we will not be silenced. We welcome you and your Mister to come visit. An entire army of independent journalists awaits you both."

As for whose names are mentioned in the letter, she tagged Tucker Carlson, Andrew Tate, Archbishop Viganò, Alex Jones, Jimmy Dore, "and many others."

In the latest YouTube video of her show, Episode 130, Candace Owens doubled down on claims that President Emmanuel Macron's wife was a man, saying:

"You see, Mr. Macron — both Misters — in my world, I bank on the people. I always bank on the regular people. You have no idea the army of people we can unleash."

She accused the Macrons of "strenuously" prohibiting her from sharing the details of the letter, but pointed out that they had no "no legal right" to prevent her from doing so. One part of the letter notes that "Mrs. Macron does not owe" Candace Owens "proof that she is and always has been a woman," asserting that it is "none of her business."

In response, Candace Owens stated:

"This has been going on for approximately ten years. If I’m the president and I’m dealing with a ten-year issue of people saying my wife has a p----… I sure as h--- am not paying lawyers overseas to send legal threats and legal letters that say, ‘I’m not going to answer your question,'" she said.

In another part, the letter states that the mere fact that Mrs. Macron has denied "these falshoods" is enough grounds to believe it is the truth, prompting Owens to say:

"Okay, so that’s how it works now in the court of law. If I say no, absence of any proof, you have to accept the truth… Nobody lies in politics… It’s basically, 'trust me, bro.'"

Candace Owens concluded her segment by asserting that now that she has a "direct line of communication" with the French Presidential couple, she would be confronting them with "pointed questions."
