Renowned star Jessica Alba, 43, stands in support of the six eminent women personalities who made a thrilling expedition to space on the Blue Origin capsule on April 14. Katy Perry, Amanda Nguyen, Kerianne Flynn, Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez were among the star-studded crew of this space exploration journey.

The recent 11-minute space flight attracted backlash and criticism from many. In such dire times, the actress came forward to speak in favor of the voyage. Jessica Alba defended the all-women flight by Blue Origin. Instead of judging this rare experience and the crew members, she asked netizens to talk more about Donald Trump's "abuses of power."

Jessica Alba shared a glimpse of an original Instagram post by Nicaraguan-American strategist Ana Navarro-Cárdenas on her Instagram story. Indicating the message, she wrote "This" and added an index finger pointing emoji to highlight the text.

The post reads,

"I’ve seen endless criticism of five women doing their space thing. I can’t see how it affects our lives."

Amid people's negative remarks and harsh reactions, Jessica Alba is one of the few to stand for these six women who experience a space journey to remember and cherish forever.

The iconic moment created by exploring the boundary of outer space and safely landing back on Earth has transformed into a controversial topic.

The message showcased on Ana Navarro-Cárdenas' Instagram post, further reshared by Jessica Alba, also mentions,

"I wish people would show same energy & focus that anger towards fearlessly denouncing Trump’s abuses of power, which do affect countless lives in the US and the world."

While a few celebrities stood beside the historical all-female space trip, it stirred a heated discussion among many well-known personalities.

The success failed to make a mark among all the stars. Instead of awe, it was welcomed with heaps of criticism on social media.

According to a People Magazine report, Amy Schumer, Emily Ratajkowski, Meg Stalter, Olivia Munn, and Olivia Wilde have called out this controversial all-female space expedition.

Gayle King responded to the Blue Origin space trip outcry on CBS Mornings. She said,

"Space is not an either-or, it's a both and, and because you do something in space doesn't mean you're taking anything away from Earth. And what you're doing in space is trying to make things better here on Earth."

She also added,

"There was nothing frivolous about what we do. So, you know, I'm very disappointed and very saddened by [the criticism]. And I also say this — what it's doing to inspire other women and young girls? Please don't ignore that. I've had so many women and young girls reach out to me, and men too, by the way. Men too that say, 'Wow, I never thought I could do that, but I see you doing it at this stage of your life.'"

Lauren Sánchez defended the backlash, too. In a conversation with People Magazine, she remarked,

"I would love to have them come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees that don't just work here but they put their heart and soul into this vehicle. They love their work and they love the mission and it's a big deal for them."

This trip to the edge of space is getting perceived with a mix of reactions.
