Brand new updates on Batman: The Brave and the Bold reveal some key insights into the anticipated project

Batman: The Brave and the Bold might take longer to reach the theaters but it is being written, per the new DC chairpersons.

James Gunn and Peter Safran recently spoke about the future of DC with The Hollywood Reporter and shared some promising details about their upcoming release slate. The DC fans must be eager to see the studio's revival along with another Batman film after Robert Pattinson played the caped crusader in the 2022 film.

“Everybody knows I love Batman and it’s important to me so I’m working very closely with the writer on Brave and the Bold."

James Gunn said about Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The upcoming Batman film is supposed to be directed by the It and The Flash director Andy Muschietti. When speaking about their collaboration, Safran told THR,

“We’re developing the Brave and Bold script right now and he [Muscietti] will be the first one to see it,”

Another update from Deadline notes that this film,

“Centers on the Dark Knight and his son, Damien Wayne, as Robin, who is quite the firecracker. The je ne sais quoi in the project is that Batman is unaware he has a son."

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is reportedly based on Grant Morrison’s run of Batman, but the writer's name has not been revealed yet.

While speaking about their plans, Safran added,

“We don’t serve one kind of audience, so why make one kind of movie? Working in a multitude of genres, it affords us the opportunity to allocate resources where they can make the biggest impact. We budget according to the demands of the story, and the revenue expectations of each title.”

While bringing the new DC projects to life, Gunn emphasizes the need for good writing.

“We are writer-driven. We are not going to greenlight or put anything into production until we are happy with the script….It is hard enough making a good movie with a good script, it’s almost impossible to make a movie with a script that you’re writing on the run.”

The upcoming Batman film titled Batman: The Brave and The Bold is also going through its writing stages. The delay might be based on their increased expectations to get things right for the fans who are looking forward to another thrilling Batman project. Although the writer's name has not been revealed, director Andy Muschietti will reportedly be the first one to read it.
