In a fiery rebuttal, Donald Trump’s camp blazingly responded to Bob Woodward’s new book, War. They dismissed the veteran journalist’s claims and called Woodward a "boring person with no personality."

While Bob Woodward's book is set for release on October 15, it has already become a topic of hot debate. One of the bold claims made by Woodward in the book is that in 2020 when Covid was at its peak, Donald Trump allegedly sent American-made Covid-testing machines (which were in shortage not only in America but across the world) to the Russian President, Vladimir Putin in a 'secret shipment.'

The Washington Post also mentions in an article that by the end of the book, Woodward reflects on the leadership of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. He acknowledges that while Biden has made some errors, his overall approach is characterized by "steady and purposeful leadership."

In contrast, Woodward portrays Trump as reckless and primarily self-serving, concluding that these traits render him "unfit to lead the country."

Trump's camp hits back hard at Bob Woodward

Steven Cheung, Trump's campaign communications director, made strong statements defending Trump in an aggressive attempt to undermine Woodward’s reputation and credibility. Cheung criticized Bob Woodward, calling him "angry" and upset due to Trump's lawsuit over unauthorized recordings.

He asserted that Trump gave no access to Bob Woodward's current book, dismissing it as fiction, fit for a discount store. Cheung further insulted Woodward's character, labeling him "slow," "incompetent," and lacking personality while mocking his mental state and credibility. Cheung said:

"None of these made-up stories by Bob Woodward are true and are the work of a truly demented and deranged man who suffers from a debilitating case of Trump derangement syndrome,"

Cheung stated that the Trump camp views this situation as a smear campaign against Trump, especially with the upcoming elections inching closer.

An extract from Woodward's book War that is under fire is an alleged conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin that, according to Bob Woodward, is said to have gone like this:

Putin: "Please don't tell anybody you sent these to me,"
Trump: "I don't care. Fine."
Putin: "No, no, I don't want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me. They don't care about me"

Notable media houses, including CCN News, are monitoring the back-and-forth exchanges in the Trump vs. Woodward situation on their official websites and social media accounts.

This conflict between Trump and Bob Woodward is far from new. It dates back to Woodward’s earlier books, which explored the Trump administration in detail. His book, Fear, was released on September 11, 2018, while Rage followed on November 17, 2020. Despite granting Woodward extensive interviews, Trump reacted negatively to those books.

Bob Woodward is a celebrated American investigative journalist and author, best known for uncovering the Watergate debacle alongside Carl Bernstein, which led to President Nixon's resignation.

Apart from revelations about Donald Trump, Woodward's War also discusses Biden's decision-making during significant global conflicts and his candid remarks about foreign leaders, particularly Vladimir Putin, especially in the context of the Ukraine conflict. Woodward's book also touches on Biden's interactions with Benjamin Netanyahu, Kamala Harris, and Volodymyr Zelensky.

As for what will happen with this Trump-Woodward feud, one thing is certain: it is far from over. For all we know, the next chapter is being written as you read this.
