English singer and songwriter Liam Payne tragically passed away after falling from the balcony of a hotel in Argentina on October 16, 2024.

Several musicians paid their heartfelt tribute to Payne after his untimely passing. One among them is Rita Ora, who remembered the late singer during her concert in Japan. Netizens are reacting to Ora's emotional tribute as one of them penned, "Bond between them is something else."

For the unversed, Rita Ora and Liam Payne collaborated on the 2017 track For You which was featured in the movie Fifty Shade Freed. Besides working on the track, the two also shared a close bond.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Ora shared a carousel of pictures with Payne and called him the "kindest soul." She wrote,

"I’m devastated. He had the kindest soul, I will never forget. I loved working with him so much - he was just such a joy to be around on and off stage. This tragic news breaks my heart. Sending all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones. Our song For You takes on a whole new meaning for me now. R.I.P."

Moreover, during her concert in Japan, Rita Ora displayed her picture with the late singer and sang their track For You. A video from the concern is going viral on X (formerly Twitter). Sharing the clip, one wrote,

"Rita Ora, whom Liam collaborated with, displayed a picture of herself with Liam on the stage's screen while she performed their song 'For You.'"

In the video, Ora also broke down before the audience and said, "I can’t even sing this right now."

A netizen penned,

"That's beautiful. Rita Ora's emotional tribute in Japan showed she's truly heartbroken. Pausing, overcome, and honoring Liam with their song 'For You' spoke volumes."

Another wrote,

"Rita Ora's heartfelt dedication to Liam Payne in Japan was a poignant moment, showcasing their unforgettable collaboration."

While the singer was declared deceased at the scene, his examination report confirmed he died of internal and external hemorrhage and multiple traumas. Per Reuters, the CasaSur hotel's receptionist informed the authorities about a certain guest who was intoxicated by "drugs and alcohol."

The receptionist later confirmed he was referring to Liam and was afraid that he would "do something" that would put everyone at risk. Minutes after the call, Payne fell from his balcony. An investigation into the passing of the singer is underway.
